The Person in Question
It used to be on Netflix but I missed my window.
It’s one of the better unofficial Bond movies.

Considering your remarks on other avant-garde films you’ve seen, you probably would’ve hated it.
It had (will have had) some funny moments, but on the whole it was (will have been) too long.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
I’m currently engaged in a personal debate as to whether or not I should watch AOTC in the next couple days. I haven’t watched the movie since 2006/2007, which is before I became a bona fide anti-fan of the PT. Perhaps it’s time enough at last to subject myself to its Cenobitesque tortures without youthful naivete available to blunt the trauma.
I like Attack of the Clones.
Not enough people read the EU.

You could always watch Frink’s edit. 😛
Where were you in '77?
I’d recommend not watching it. It’s so boring.
The Person in Question
Last time I tried to watch it (1-2 years ago) I couldn’t even make it halfway through before giving up.

Henceforth, this shall be the only way I watch AOTC (pending the creation of a radically innovative, non-comedic fanedit).

Only until the factory scene. Then the screaming starts.

I suppose the theory is true; if you can make it through Red Zone Cuba, you can make it through anything.
At least watch a fanedit. It won’t make it a masterpiece but it will at least make it watchable and semi enjoyable, or at the least move quicker. I recommend octorox ‘Sanded Down’ version.
Eh, I’m only interested in PT edits which make drastic changes to the source material.

I disagree that it will make it watchable and semi-enjoyable, and the best (and fastest) way to make it move quicker is to not watch it at all.
I like Attack of the Clones.
“I’m so sorry.”
Should I watch Phantom of the Paradise or The Room next?
Phantom is great. If you’re into self abuse, then choose The Room. 😉

I couldn’t make it through Beast Of Yucca Flats unriffed. That movie drains my will to live. Not sure if Coleman Francis had a vision, but his movies are bleak and depressing on their own. And they all end with a sniper in an airplane taking out unarmed people suspected of a crime because arrest and trials take too much screen time.

I think you should try the Last Movie You Can’t Unsee thread.

Can’t wait to see the new Blade Runner.
I plan on watching Bergman’s Persona next.
Blade Runner 2049.
I get off work at 6am, going to see it at 11am, then have to be back at work at 6pm.
I might sleep somewhere in there, but there’s no way in hell I’m missing the sequel to one of my favorite movies on opening weekend when it was made by one of my favorite contemporary directors and has been getting reviewed so well.
And to think when it was announced I was sure it would be awful and I’d just wait for it to come out on Blu-Ray…
Well, my plans to see Blade Runner 2049 today didn’t quite work out, but I will hopefully get to see it either tomorrow or next weekend. In te meantime, I think I’ll watch Solaris (1972).
