Also, I think you’ve been doing a great job producing and sifting through these generations. I think the quality we’ve been able to achieve with the other voices just has made me set a higher bar that I think we have struggled to reach with the Poe voice clone (and that isn’t a jab at your skill, because I think your generations have been better than mine). I think it is just an inherent issue with Poe’s voice more than anything else. Just harder to make it a 1:1 match, due to Oscar’s natural delivery, the digital cruft of his clone, etc. But I think any of these would go unnoticed as a voice clone by your average viewer. And like you said, it’d probably hard for even me to notice if I was watching it on my tv or my phone without headphones.

2 and 3 work really nicely. There’s still some of that jank but now it’s way less jarring. Like in this case, now it sounds no different from how some films will have those one or two lines that sound off compared to every other piece of dialogue. Easily ignorable for the sake of enjoying the film and most importantly, it sounds a lot more like Poe in the movie and not jarringly clear lines like they were before.

At this point your best bet would be to wait for v4 to release. V3 never made it to the Drive so it was only ever released through torrents.

Oh okay, in that case, is V2 available ? My desire is to rewatch episode VIII and IX again for the first time using the fan edits. And for IX I’ve read this is the best one. So I can do it with V2 if that’s easier to get.

If I recall correctly, there currently isn’t any version of Ascendant available on his Drive.

The main version is not available, that’s true. The “Rey Nobody” version is available, though.

How does this edit subtly change the worldbuilding to make it better?

How’s the Rey Nobody version coming along? Will they both be updated simultaneously? Can’t wait!

One thing I’d suggest for the Nobody cut is restoring the lines in the opening “she is not who you think she is” and “who is she?”. I understand the reasoning for removing them, but without it you lose the awesome transition from “who is she?” to Rey’s training and her struggles. Also the way Kylo just lays down his saber with nothing to retort makes him seem way more submissive to Palpatine, which is something we’re trying to avoid.

And the lines still work perfectly fine as setup for the reveal that she’s going to kill Palpatine and take his Throne, something Palpatine tells Kylo off-screen with no setup if the lines are removed, I don’t know how much is being altered for V4 of the Nobody cut, but as long as there’s still a similar reveal about Rey I think those lines still belong in there.

Does anyone have the high quality video that fixes Luke’s reshoot hair on Ahch-to? It used to be on the google drive folder but it was removed for some reason.

I have finally watched this after so long and, wow, not only I can now tolerate TROS given the theatrical cut killed my care for the franchise but it also made me look forward to show it to my family! They haven’t watched Star Wars and I’ll show them the Nobody cut because that’s what is honestly canon to me. I really enjoyed the changes and it’s amazing how a few edits here and there can make or break a film. The new purple lightsaber is great and that final duel with the Force Ghosts is just wonderful. I have also noticed an Italian audio track has actually been added and I’m surprised it wasn’t present in the file from the drive folder, does this mean that version is actually V2 or something? TLJ Is also completely missing from that so have the links all been updated? Can I get a new DM then?
