I said this in another thread; but I wish a group of us would be bold; get together, and just reshoot the prequels...Haha. I laugh because I know no one will take me seriously; but if you really think about it; it could be done... Would take 20 years probably; but it could be done.

Alas; I think we're stuck with what we have. With that said; in my edit, I have actually cut the operating table scene so you hear no screams. The only scene that has screaming is when he's burning... That was harder to work for me.

would have been fiedish if he was laughing. but really irrelevant.:P

Check out the Star Wars Animated thread.  We're talking about doing pretty much just what you said as an animated trilogy.

i really like that idea, especially in context with the anakin lurking in palpys office. do you think padmes ruminations scene could be worked into that? maybe anakin is looking out of that big window in the office?

he could be sensing her threw the force showing flashes and flashback og his mother like in the vaders redemption clip on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZGyFm6zZeU, and some of the voiceovers, like a reverse of that edit showing a more en depth turning

Moving this idea over from the Animated Star Wars thread, I must confess the idea of either Dooku replacing Qui-Gon or Qui-Gon replacing Dooku as the Seperatist leader is one I really like.

I don't know how it could be done but it makes so much sense that the Qui-Gon would be the father of the Seperatist movement and the Rebellion (I wouldn't like him being a Sith Lord though).

After the success of the Clone Troopers in Episode Two it would make sense for the Seperatists to get their own clone troops or (going by Grevious) cyborg troops.

Well I understand, but I think there's enough scenes to show the conflict (the few lines that follow that scene for exemple). It is also important to show a darker side of Anakin. Once Obi-Wan is not there, he is not afraid to let his anger free. By the time of episode 3 we can assume that Palpatine already have a strong influence on him.

Exactly, that's what I was thinking. He's not afriad to let his anger out when Obi Wan isn't around to tell him otherwise

He seemed to show it a lot more in AOTC but learned to show it less in ROTS (though Obi Wan is clearly uncomfortable with his outburst at not being made a Master).

I was actually rather happy with how Anakin was shown before he bent the knee to Palpatine (though boy does he become a real bell end afterwards). Anakin was far less of a ninny (but enough of a ninny to be consistant with his uber-ninniness in Episode II) and Mace Windu comes across as being as much responsible for what happens as Palpatine. They should have shown a scene where Yoda tells him to back off the boy a bit.

Windu would make a much better Sith apprentice than Dooku, he is such a Victorian dad.

Well maybe Ady could just cut out Anakin saying "I shouldn't". But I'd really like it if there was no hesitation at all prior to chopping off old Dooku's head.

I had another brainwave when it comes to Threepio.

In TPM we see TC-14 on the Trade Federation Ship.

If she was recoloured gold and given some of Anthony Daniels lines from the prequels or the Radio Drama you could create a different arc for him.

He starts off as a Trade Federation protocol droid, he is used as their translator (because they no longer speak Engrish... allowing for Magnoliafan style subtitles to make them into darker characters) he is given orders to encourage the Queen to sign the treaty and make sure that no harm comes to her until she does, he takes his duties so literally that he ends up being dragged onto the Queen's ship when she escapes.

True he would still need to be put into some of the footage but seeing as he never leaves the ship on Tatooine he would be in TPM and meet Artoo but not meet Owen.

At the end of TPM the Viceroy declares that it's too late to sign the treaty and because his primary mission no longer achievable Threepio continues to serve the Queen and try to ensure her safety.

He could be in the background during the Coruscant scenes in Episode II (but stay behind on Coruscant with her decoy so not lose his head on Geonosis) and encourage her to return to Naboo with Anakin, and he would be in the birth of the rebellion scenes when they are put back into ROTS.

Bail wipes his memory because he doesn't trust him (because of his past and because he has been around during the planning stages of the Rebellion).

That way he's in all of them and it sets up the droids are slaves theme continued in the OT.

I like the idea, but then we could not use any of his episode 2 shots, because he is not shiny at all in that episode, almost no reflection on him I mean. Turning him the same gold looking as in the other episodes would be difficult I think. And using too much OT, or episode 3 footages would be redundant.

I think that is a fantastic idea. He doesn't really need to be in Episode II at all. Maybe just the scenes at the beginning of the film at Padme's apartment or whatever. And if Ady keeps some sort of celebration at the end of TPM, 3P0 could be added standing with everyone at the end.

Also, I was thinking about something; does anyone else dislike the idea of Padawan's having a braid and pony tail? I have always hated it ever since I first saw them. It would probably be a hassle to do, but I would like it if the pony tail and braid could be removed from Obi Wan (TPM), Anakin (AOTC), and the younglings (AOTC, ROTS). There's probably other padawan's but I havn't noticed any. I mean, doesn't it seem kind of ridicules? The braid can be tolerated I guess, but a random pony tail sticking out? That's just stupid, lol.

would you have time maybe getting a prequel fanedit and recolouring it? it would be really nice.

Great looking shots Vaderios.  I'm trying to do the same thing and adjust the color of the PT to match the OT in my fan edit.  It's slow going due to my underpowered mac.

nice job but it all looks too dark and moody, pretty much devoid of any color. Like a horror movie or something. The OT was NOT like that.

IMO a lot of the shots look good, but just too dark. maybe try ease off a bit on the darkness contrast and see what you come up with? My concern is that it might be a bit hard on the eyes after 2+ hours.
