What I do know is that the “identity” of the other account has not been revealed publicly and I doubt this one will be. I conclude from that alone that it might be someone here and that if their identity were revealed members would be upset because of the “no sock” rule … which includes you as you had to give up your socks, so no, I don’t readily believe it is you.

Could it be you? Sure it could. Could it be me? Of course but I still have no need for a sock/dummy account. It could technically be anyone here because as far as I know we are still not accepting new members.

Now, that “could” also imply that someone was allowed in around that rule, and allowed to post long enough to cause issue. We end up coming back to the possibility of it being a mod or admin as they might be the only ones to circumvent said rule. “IF” that might be the case, it is another reason no identity would be revealed.

It is all conjecture based on the available facts, for me anyways.

IF … and I said … IF it is someone here it would have to be done with the permission of someone that controls the membership because I believe the “no new membership” rule is still in affect at this point. Otherwise how could someone from outside become a member if we aren’t accepting any? No regular user would have that authority unless there is something I’m missing as I know I don’t have the option available in my account.

It is a reasonable assumption based on the facts, nothing more.

“This” person says they can be identified by an IP check. If that is the case, wouldn’t someone have revealed the culprit openly the first time around and this time? So far the reveal has been … nada. It took 15 days for it to be known that registration was quietly reopened on the 13th of this month.

Man, Fo sure does himself a good conspiracy theory, no matter the evidence presented otherwise.
