This has nothing to do with your question, but I just remembered my cousin actually has the "Hylian Shield" tattooed onto his arm.  It looks pretty sweet admittedly, but I wonder how he will feel about that decision 20 years from now...

Maybe he'll be a Hyrulean general 20 years from now. He'll proudly speak of how long he's been devoted to serving Hyrule.

Demise's "curse" is nothing but an infantile attempt at connecting the games together, one which should never have been made.  See my above comments about Prequelitis.

It also does the character of Ganon a grave disservice, by rendering him nothing more than a second-rate reincarnation of some other lame villain we'd never heard of until now.  I call BS on this—Ganon is far too cool and badass a character to be written off in this way.

The way I see it, these kind of dumb story elements, as well as the annoying gameplay, mean that Skyward Sword isn't actually a real Zelda game at all.  Dismissing it altogether ensures that the perception of the other, far greater games in the series is untarnished by its nonsense.

Zelda games are usually so innovative, Skyward Sword wasn't. I enjoyed playing it, but at the end of the day, we should've had an HD Zelda game with a great control system, but then again, I don't think Nintendo knows what the hell to do. They are making so much money on these damn DS games, that the consoles get pushed to the side.

I love Nintendo, and would love to see them return to being the badass company they were in the 80's and 90's. Things just went to shit when they made the wii, and time will tell if the wii U will do anything. Nintendo used to push great titles when they came out with consoles, not so much now. I'd hate to see them fall and turn into another Sega or Atari.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

They had to come up with something like the Wii. I loved the N64 and the Gamecube (I loved the Dreamcast too and Sega didn't make another console) but sadly the bulk of people wanted and Xstation.

I think Sega and Nintendo should team up and destroy the Xstation with the SuperMegaCube PinkFloyd!

I'd love if Nintendo and Sega made a console together.

This demonstrates what might be a flaw of the Zelda series: That each game takes place before the last game instead of after the last game. The result is that things that shouldn't exist until after game x takes place are brought into game x in contrived ways.
