The Hangover Trilogy

Author
Time

This has got to be the worst movie trilogy of all time.   All three were awful and unfunny.  The only genuinely funny part in the trilogy was when Bradley Cooper sees the tiger after he wakes up in the first movie.  Zach G. has to be the most annoying unlikeable character in movie history.  None of these should have been made let alone a trilogy.   Pretty much every comedy in the last 10 years is way better than this crap.  It just boggles the mind how people raved over the first one and continue to while saying 2 and 3 aren't as good as the 'amazing' first one.

Rant over.

I could have told you all that and more without ever even seeing a trailer for any of the movies =P

I haven't seen them though I was obliged to watch the Austin Powers films as a friend though I'd like them.

I've seen worst things but not many.

I liked Zach Galifranakis in Tru Calling (I have a thing for lab coat pocket bears).

My wife somehow found herself at a theater last week watching Part III. She said it was just as stupid as the first two. Then I reminded her that we'd never seen the second one. That's how memorable they are.

The second one is the one where Zach had his head shaved right?

I repeat I haven't seen even one of these.

The fact that these movies have a thread is disturbing.

Thanks to the ubiquity of the posters, the trailers and the chat show appearances of the cast members I could probably write a lengthy post about what is wrong with the series without (I repeat) seeing even one.

That is scary.

I know! We gotta watch these n00bs more closely. God only knows what thread/ts they'll start next.

Maybe we should suggest three films to watch while suffering from a hangover.

Silent movies would probably work but I do remember watching The Blues Brothers after spending the night sleeping on a shelf in a cupboard in Newcastle.

Did you even read the first post?   I don't find anything disturbing about trashing them and saying it's the worst trilogy ever.  The movies on the other hand and all the rabid fans of the first one is what I would call disturbing.

Oh and to that other guy, I have way too many posts to be considered a noob.

There is a movie thread for stuff like this.  That, along with calling C3PX "that other guy" show that you are an off-topic newb, no matter how many posts you have.

So much for "Unmoderated" off topic forum.  When I feel like making a thread to rant about something I will.  Besides, what are you worried about this thread will disappear into oblivion soon enough.

If Off-Topic were moderated a moderator would have popped up and told Frink and C3PP off for being rude.

It's pretty much a free-for-all over here so expect people to be critical of your every move.

You aren't seriously going to use that to scratch that itch are you?

"258"

LOL.

Considering many of us have been fixtures around here for a very long time, you are very much a "newbie". Not trying to be condescending with that, that would be ridiculous; everyone is new at some point. This is the first I've noticed you post in the Off-Topic, which doesn't mean you haven't been, just not enough for your user name to stand out to me. I have nothing against new comers, and I welcome you. We weren't being rude. At least not trying to be, just cracking an innocent joke. We have fun around here, don't take it personally.

And welcome to OT.com's deep seedy underbelly: the lawless unmoderated Off Topic forum. ;)

I recognize stretch, both from here and from FE.  Seems like a good guy.  But this thread is silly.

Well sure, go for it, just be ready to get teased about it.

19) Limit Personal Attacks To Joking, And Be Clear About Your Intent On the internet, it's all too easy to make personal attacks. Unlike real life, there are few repercussions when you deliberately offend someone on a forum (although you might get banned). But if you stoop to this level, you will quickly get a reputation that is often difficult to shed: Big Jerkface Poopybrains. You don't have to agree with everyone on everything, but limit your firm-but-polite attacks to the subject at hand. Don't go calling people names or talking inappropriately about their private parts or family members. Of course, feel free to attack someone if you are only joking. But make sure your intent is clear. A "winky" emoticon or some similar gesture usually will help with this, but it's often a good idea to limit personal attack jokes to people who will already know you are joking. If your joke is taken seriously, just apologize, you big-eared jerkface. ;-)

Well, we need to remember this is only the first trilogy of three.

I can't wait for the Prequal trilogy, where the Wolf Pack are in Middle School.

Where was the personal attack?

Personally I don't think there is one from either of you (just the usual japes) but I can see how it could be seen as rude to call someone in jest a noob and be critical of their choice of thread topic when you have no prior history of banter to build on.

As I said, outside off topic it might have raised an eyebrow or three in here it's mild stuff.

Yeah, maybe someone should start a thread along those lines.

There should be some way for older members of the forum to approve new thread ideas for actual creation of new threads.

Even in the off-topic forum?  It's not like I'm spamming.  Of my 259 posts only 3 of them were used to start a new thread.
