I hear Naruto has become the next Dragonball popularity wise. Geez I hope they don't screw it up with censoring.

The first two seasons of DBZ were bad enough.

On Naruto: do you know who is dubbing it, and, if it is going on cartoon network, then why is it being censored? Cartoon Network's content standards have allways seemed reasonable to me.

Well you do know that there are some things that cannot be aired on US television that are completely fine on JP television. Its not as severe as, say, the censoring of Sailor Moon but it is severe enough that it impacts the story a good bit.

And I assume the same people that have been doing all of toonami's latest dubs are doing this one as well.

So... no "Sexy no Jutsu", eh? And Jiraya's obsession with women toned down? *sigh* My little otaku heart is being stabbed every day by the ocidental world...

Toonami's dubs have been by quite a few different companies. Full Metal Alchemist and everything Dragon Ball were done by Funimation, I think Pioneer did Ruroni Kenshin, but I'm not positive about that. It might have been the same people that dubbed the Gundam shows.

Now that I think of it, I'm not sure all that's on Toonami. I normally just watch TeenTitans and Justice League and then go do something eles...

Kenshin and Lupin were both Pioneer and premiered on Adult Swim.

I'd forgot Lupin. Never really watched it much; but I am pretty sure that Kenshin premiered on Toonami before Adult Swim.

Lupin. Wasn't that the professor in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban that turned into a werewolf?

There's an anime show called Lupin the Third about a red-tux wearing spy/womanizer...

Something like comedy James Bond; I never really got into, like I said, but it was popular enough for a mediocre game to be made of it.

Lupin was actually the character of a french author's books writen in the 19th century, he was a master thief and stuff... The books became very popular in Japan post-ww2, and a manga series an anime were released based on those books (which resulted in a huge copyright fight over the years, apparently he's both public domain AND not public domain at the same time). The word Lupin is a synonym for "thief" in Japan, like... kleenex for paper tissue.

I've seen some of Lupin sansei a long time ago, and I've seen the "return of pycal" OVA very recently... It's not that great, a little bit dated... And I don't like the character so much...

Has anyone seen the Sharpe movie series starring Sean Bean? Produced by ITV I believe.
