Sarcasm requires a target or victim, I fail to see one.
Perhaps you meant rhetorical?

And I like that concept drawing better than the final in some ways.
it was a sarcastic question

ok what i said about the falcon scene is this:
there is no fire at all at the falcon after they were shooting at luke, even with their terrible shot you would think they would shoot at them!

fishmanlee is Doug Piranha :D
They probably realized that shooting at an armored Corellian freighter with deflector shields would be useless and a waste of ammunition.
Not to mention that Vader let them escape so they could track the ship to the rebels' "hidden fortress."
that sounds reasonable
and why they are shooting at them in EMPIRE is because they are not letting them escape

PRAY I DONT ALTER IT ANY FURTHER. Lando must have said this deal is getting worse all the time. Of course he isnt wearing a pink dress after that scene.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

That concept drawing reminds me of Maximillian from The Black Hole.

^Me too. A little too much, actually. Maybe it is good they went with the design they did.

Threepio and Artoo are well liked (one the whole) by their owner/masters but they are not considered much more than property.
Unless someone writes a droid Spartacus storyline into Episodes VII through to IX they (and the Clonetroopers) are slaves and would never be given medals (even by the so called good guys).
Oh, I remember that all too well. In my eyes, though, R2-D2 and C-3PO have proven themselves to be more equals with people than any other droid has. True, they needed masters to care for them in order to continue to function. But their masters needed them just as much, especially in ROTJ when 3PO used his translation abilities to communicate with the Ewoks and convinced to aid the Rebels.

Sure that's how we are meant to see them but the fact that our heroes don't paints them in a slightly less than glossy white than some people believe.
I wish we did get a sequel trilogy which explored what happens to the Rebels once they win.
Ben looks back at the Old Republic as a golden age but when we see it in TPM we find that the rot had already set in before Palpatine starts working the system.
Project ROTJ into the future and will the good guys still be the good guys if they allow slavery (droid and non-droid) to continue and what do you do with Death Star technology once someone had built a couple of them, what do you do with the Stormtroopers (I know that the EU tells us they stopped being clones but as far as the films go they are slaves too)?
Will Luke's Jedi be as hamstrung by dogma as the Jedi in his father's day?
Will Leia go as bad as her dad?
There is plenty of ground to cover in a sequel trilogy, Lucas is possibly not the guy to do it though.
He's rejigged the story so it's all about Anakin.
He might as well stop calling it Star Wars and just call it The Anakin Saga.

The EU books are just one concept for events that proceed ROTJ. As fans, we can use our imaginations to develop our own concepts. There's really no right or wrong answer.

I perfer to think of it as "The Story of the Skywalker Family as told through the eyes of the droids"
It would be the Skywalker saga if we were allowed to see what happened to Luke and Leia (and her children) after ROTJ but Lucas in insisting that is the final episode has made it into the Anakin Saga (or as Lucas put it with Vader dead "There's no more story to tell").
When watching ANH back in the day it felt like there was a much bigger story extending way back into the past, way back into the future and with more going on in the present than we were seeing on screen (just like the real world).
I've allowed myself to wander way off topic so sorry about that.
Perhaps someone should start a sequel trilogy project thread.

The only 'errors' that still exist and annoy me are the following:
Stormtrooper damage that shows how flimsy the armour really is.

This was my first post, hello to everyone am I am amazed at the talent of most of the people here.
Not sure why the photos aren't up, but the links should still work.
Just re-edited, they work now.
--edit-- They all work now. Nevermind.
They all work for me. Would be nice if he could edit the post and get rid of the unnecessary stuff, though. ;)
