these edits sound awesome!

Any chance someone with the 9000 Saga edit would do 'pay it forward' DVDs?

I can and will do the same as needed/requested!

thanks in advance

School is over in a few days, and I'll have more time to do this sort of thing.

As for the OT... I'm waiting for better source material. Namely, the Darth Editous ESB and the Adywan ANH.

I'll keep you guys posted though.

I've recently come into an extra copy of this trilogy edit on DVD, so if there's someone 'round here who wants a copy of the set, shoot me an email with your address.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

Some time ago I found download links for the edits of I-III on that other fanedit site and I downloaded Episode I, but it seemed to me that it wasn't really the 9000 edit, because some changes of Hal9000's list weren't done in the edit. Weird.

I'm still interested in avi-versions of your edits, Hal9000, just to let you know^^

Wow, I didn't realize people were interested in this.

Master Qui-Gon, the downloads you found are correct. They were my second, and better, attempt and involved a slightly different list of changes.

Whenever I get a Mac I will hopefully do a 2.0.

So if those download links work, try to use those. If not and anyone wants one, PM me.

Just to let you all know, I will be getting my first mac in a couple of weeks.

Shortly thereafter I will be acquiring some form of Final Cut.

Very shortly thereafter I will begin tinkering with Star Wars again, and plan on producing a totally new set of prequel edits. And maybe, with the wealth of new material available, a hodge-podge OT edit also.

Very cool, Mr 9000. I look forward to seeing what you will come up with.

I've noticed that lately there have been many heavy edits of Star Wars, such as Adywan's, Trooperman's and now Anti-Matter's prequel treatment to balance out what I like to call 'lite-edits' such as your first set, Slumberlands set and others. What do you have up your sleeve this time?

I will most likely still be primarily conservative with my Star Wars edits this time too. I'm not really trying to significantly alter the story or anything.
But there looks to be a lot of areas to explore that wouldn't have been possible with womble. So we'll see.

Hey Hal, are the edits that you sent me last year the 1.0 version, or the 2.0 listed at FE.org?

I am not sure, as there are minimal differences.

Does your copy of TPM have added music during the podrace? If not, then it is the latest version.

If it does, then I suggest holding on for whatever is next.

Does anyone still have these?  I'm at various stages of completion yet all have stalled: TPM is at 97%, ATOC is at 74% and ROTS is at 76%.  I'd really like to check these out!

I'm really interested in seeing these.

Whatever happened to the AVI versions? Or does anyone have a DVD they could send me? ROTS and AOTC in particular interest me.

I LOVE YOUR EPISODE II EDIT! Why dont' they sell that at stores instead of a stupid box set.

Hal 9000 said:I'm torn as to whether or not I should make this alteration to ROTS. I wanted to collect others' opinions before proceeding.

I am already removing Yoda's tearful farewell to Chewbacca and Tarrful. What I am considering is removing the Wookee battle sequence that follows the council meeting.
Because I am adding the three deleted scenes about the rebellion, I can replace the battle scene with one of these scenes.

Pros:
The Wookee stuff isn't even in the novel, it just has Yoda go there.
The novel has the scene I'd insert in the same place I'd insert it.
The Wookee battle was bad CGI and cheesy.
I'm already deleting the later Wookee scene where Yoda leaves.

Cons:
We don't get to see the Wookees in a battle.

What do you all think? I can go either way, and want to know how this change would be received. Thanks for your input.

This is wise I can't even comment. However a Middle Groud could be reached with the Wookie scenese. LOL

Well, this is quite a feat in thread resurrection.

I'm interested in seeing these, and I started by downloading Ep 3 from fanedit.info, however part 32-45 of the .rar is missing! Any possibility of an alternate source or of getting these online again?

Argh, these missing prequel rars are going to kill me.

Will do. I had so send them a mail to get an account though, so we'll see how long it takes. Meanwhile I'll take a look at Hal9000's episode 2. :)

EDIT: Oh wait, the entire episode 2 is offline. :(

Good grief... I was hoping to take a look at Hal's as well... Do we know if anyone at FE knows now?
