He wasn't referring to you. Fredstar posted a direct link, which I removed.

Moth3r, if I do manage to get Ep IV uploaded to rapidshare, how do I let people know where? Do I have to use PM?

As Moth3r said, I wasn't referring to you. Sorry for the confusion. :-)
If anyone has been following the re-encoding instructions, and finds that the disc they produce registers as a data disc, rather than an AVCHD, on a PS3, here is why and what to do.
Tsmuxer has undergone a change in the latest build. Now, instead of selecting blu ray as your output, you must select AVCHD.
If you have already muxed your streams together, just import the m2ts stream back into tsmuxer, make sure all the streams are checked, select AVCHD for your output, and start muxing as usual.
Then burn the BDMV and Certificate folders as usual, using imgburn, and making sure you select UDF 2.5. Cheers!
I finally have seen the Ep1 file that was uploaded to tehparadox. Perhaps this has been mentioned somewhere and I'm just not seeing it, but the quality of the capture of SW, ESTB far outweigh the capture of TPM. Or at least the final products look a heck of a lot better. Perhaps someone re-encoded what's up on tehparadox? It's all soft and slightly blurry. There's a huge loss of detail for an HD. The SW capture looked amazingly crisp, as did ESTB...but TPM just looks terrible in comparison. It looks more like a DVD presentation rather than HD.
Keep in mind though I'm watching this from a 1080p projector on a 100+ screen. Adywan, does this sound like a re-encoding issue that's caused a loss of detail? or was this an inferior broadcast capture to begin with?
Can someone confirm what I'm seeing? It can't be my equipment.

It could be the uploader. Ady's original file looks pretty good from what I have seen. 1080p should look good on a 100+ projector screen. It has to be the uploader. It looked good on my computer. I haven't put it onto a dvd yet so I don't know if the download I have is gonna look good on my tv.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

TPM is the worse HD transfer of the lot. I'm pretty sure its the same transfer that was used for the DVD. Not a lot i could do about the softness of the picture without causing more problems with the already present edge enhancement. Might explain why they applied edge enhancement to the picture causing the halo effect.
Yeah; Ep 1 does look much worse than IV and V. Everyone that saw my copy of the AVCHD said so, but I didn't want to point it out, as I was sure Adywan did everything possibe to sort it out.

no sorry its all down to the original HD broadcasts of TPM i rememember watching the marathon and being dissapointed with tpm's original airing it is the worst looking of the bunch and will need some serious attention for its eventual blu release if they release it as is the blu community will be in an uproar! lol ady has done amazing work on tpm the colour correction is superb and is night and day when compared to the other 1080p version i have (iirc it was a HV version) the overall quality is improved too less digital noise etc i watched it on a 130" screen and it was the best tpm presentation i have seen since 1999! :)

If George doesn't clean up his act on the Blu Ray releases he will lose a majority of his fan base. I pray that empire isn't blue.

Indeed, no more blue movies from Lucasfilm! :-)
Thanks for the explanations everyone. Adywan, thanks for doing all you could to improve the quality of the broadcast. I hope you understand I wasn't trying to slight your work in any way. I just wanted to make absolutelyu sure. You're work is greatly appreciated.

We could start a new "Blu, not Blue!" campaign. ;)

I've uploaded Adywan's ANH AVCHD re-encoded to 23.976 fps to rapidshare. I've PMed those who expressed an interest already, but PM me if you are interested too.
I'll keep the files up for 2 weeks, maybe more. Then it's up to one of you to torrent it if you like it.
Let me know how it works. I've tested it on two blu ray players and a PS3 already, but cannot guarantee it will work on all machines. It's just the HD Video and surround sound. No commentaries, no subtitles. Cheers!
And hey, who's needs a AVCHD anyway when there are no menus to begin with??
If you guys find the PMs I sent are cut off at the bottom, PM me your email address and I'll do it that way.
Useless PMs, useless no download links rule...
The "no links" rule was put in place for a reason.
We don't object to you posting the links some other place on the internet, and giving enough information in this thread so that people can locate them.
Any problems you're having with PMs should be reported in the bug reports forum.

if u are using the wdtv hd player it can read it straight from the original *.iso file ;) no need to convert them (same with dvds too)

No doubt, and I'll abide by it, but I don't have to like it. :-) I don't think the PMs are faulty: they're just too short for all the links. It takes 3 PMs to send them all, which is why I prefer people to PM me their e-mail address.

no it can't
I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.
Yes it can, that's how I watch Ady's ANH revisted and his AVCHD's
I hope I can ask this questoin correctly.
I know Adywan made these as 24 fps, and some people have had playback problems with that (audio getting out of sync with video). In particular, the scene in ANH where R2 is captured by the Jawas was mentioned.
Will I notice this effect if I jump or fast forward to that scene? Or do I have to watch the movie from the beginning to experience the delay?
FYI, I have a Panasonic DMP-BD80.
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
