Syncing Moth3r's Release with VHS Sound?

Hi everyone,
I really like Moth3rs PAL Transfer. I come from Germany but eaven my English is good,
Id like to watch the Star-Wars Trilogy in German. So I thought that it might be an Idea to sync Moth3rs Release,
with my VHS Audio.

My VHS Source is the 1995 THX PAL VHS from Germany here an Ebay Picture (I have the same)
http://img506.imageshack.us/img506/3430/4c1b7ks.jpg

Things already done:
-VHS Captured Audio(I captured them on my Sony RDR-HX 710) demuxed.
-Moth3r Sound Stream demuxed.
-Both Streams encoded from AC3 to WAV with Besweet (for better Software compatiplity and no Sound Quality loss).
-I also cutted the begining to match.

Things not done
-Get it sync

I need a Sowtware which shows me the Video and Audiostream at the same time so that i can correct the Audio Delay/or cut thinks out.

At the moment I just work like this:
I load both Stream WAVs in AUDIACITY, and then compare them (match the beginning) so that when I start the Stream it is sync.
But that doesnt Help alot.

Can anyone please help me with this ?

Does your program allow you to stretch audio and video? In Vegas, I can drag audio and video streams until they are the same length, creating the necessary speed-up or slow-down.

Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.

Here is a suggested method for achieving audio sync:

- Rip/demux the video off my DVD to one big M2V file using DVDDecrypter. Open this in VirtualDubMod.

- Open another instance of VirtualDubMod, and load the demuxed M2V from your VHS capture. Add the German WAV file as an audio stream. (I assume your VHS capture is in sync - well, as synced as possible for a different language dub! )

- Switching between the two, scan through the frames to identify points where the video streams differ. You will probably find that the VHS version is longer, as the laserdisc is missing a few frames at some points. In your VHS version, mark start and end points for the additional frames in VDubMod and press delete.

- Eventually both instances of VDubMod will contain a video with exactly the same number of frames. At this point, select your German audio stream and save as WAV. The saved WAV should be exactly in sync with the video from my DVD.

This is a fairly rough method of doing this, and if there are several frames cut in a row there may be an audible pop at the cut point.

Sorry for bringing this up again... has anybody actually done German audio tracks that in sync with Moth3r's ANH and ROTJ? I have done a ANH-one myself, but I only had a DVD-rip from a German laser-disc as source, and the quality wasn't that great.

Yeah, I have ceated my German ANH-track with Adobe Premiere, and I had to set cuts about every five minutes to re-sync it. Worked quite well.

I am uploading that thing to MegaUpload right now.

Hello Laserschwert!

I prefer the Moth3r transfer of the original trilogy.

I've been trying to get the german audio of the GOUT-DVD's in sync with the m2v-file of Moth3r's transfer, but it didn't work (I am a novice in that).

So, please, please, could you upload the german audio-file for the Moth3r-transfer again to megaupload???

The old link above in this forum doesn't work anymore.

Many greetings,

Oldschooljedi
