Honestly, I am surprised it crossed $100m.
Yeah. It’s full of actors nobody likes or has even heard of and the premise doesn’t sound like anything that’s been successful before.
It’s really baffling.
Exactly, a full of stars, can’t miss release just like most Hollywood bombs, especially those from this year…Baywatch, Ghost in the Shell, etc. Which is why I am surprised that this film is as successful as it is…it went up against a new Star Wars release, had quite a bit of controversy regarding it’s seemingly overt sexualization of one of its stars and is another big studio psuedo sequel to a movie from another century that during its own box office run was not super successful, barely cracking $100m in its domestic run. So yeah, it is a surprise, as was the notion of finding a Jumanji apologist on a Star Wars forum…crazy.
