“Don’t tell anyone… but when ‘Star Wars’ first came out, I didn’t know where it was going either. The trick is to pretend you’ve planned the whole thing out in advance. Throw in some father issues and references to other stories - let’s call them homages - and you’ve got a series.” - George Lucas

I’m actually looking forward to this game. It’ll probably be put back to 2025 at some point in the future 😉 But I’ll wait.

A proper “open world” action-adventure game, set in the Original Trilogy era, with space combat too? Count me in.

(Until they give us an updated X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and SW Arcade all-in-one type of game!)

The same here. Finally an open world adventure shooter game set in the OT era. It has been a long time since the the old Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games.

The space combat caught the eye too, and appears to be simpler than the Squadrons game. Instead, more like a modern take on the old X-Wing/Tie-Fighter games, which is always a bonus.

“In the future it will become even easier for old negatives to become lost and be “replaced” by new altered negatives. This would be a great loss to our society. Our cultural history must not be allowed to be rewritten.” - George Lucas

Yeah, this certainly caught my eye and has me looking forward to seeing more of the game. Jedi Survivor looked great and all, but this open world game is one I’ve been looking forward to since they first announced it, and hoping that it wouldn’t be cancelled or end up in limbo.

Looks pretty good going on just those first couple of videos too.

The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear.

Formerly Emre1601 - computer hard drives are brittle too!

This looks very good. But I’m done with games that are just a big open space filled with fetch quests. Hope to be proven wrong but otherwise done after the likes of Horizon and Tsushima burned me out on the genre. Then again I could be lured in when it actually gets here…

I get that. I’m also hoping for some specific space combat levels or locations, somewhere you can go to just blast some TIEs, or maybe even some X-Wings! Probably a few levels or locations where there is some intense yet mindless blasting away of many stormtroopers or Greedo types too.

Oh yes, absolutely. I’ll probably play through the levels once or twice. After that it will hopefully be some sections, levels or missions where there is some good simple dogfights and “Dark Forces” type of shooting many, many Imps.

If this pulls off the space combat well, like a cross between the recent Squadrons and old Rogue Squadron games then I’ll be happy, with simple short missions or the ability to hang around a large battle and take down a load of Imperial or Syndicate ships. I’ll be hoping for more videos or articles showing the ability to do just that, anyway. 😃

I did enjoy Squadrons, and find it to be one of the better games in recent years. But something little more simple, or arcade-like, would just hit the right spot for me.

Great thread too, SoBS!

I’d have liked to have the option to customize or select a character (droid, alien, legacy character, or make your own) in this as much as anyone. But fans having issues about the lead character in this for being a woman? Dickheads.

First I’ve heard about it. Is this a real outrage or just a clickbait one? At this stage I find do it odd after a few Assassin’s games in this vein that you can’t choose male or female. Even just for replay value. But ultimately it’s a non-issue.

So people are making a fuss over a video game protagonist being female? Really?

I’ve been looking forward to this. So happy that it will actually happen and see a release!

The price is too high maybe when it comes down to earth and reality I will play it, I just started playing Battlefront II and Jedi Fallen Order on gamepass because its affordable.
