Why did the Jedi design a fighter that required an Astro-Droid but was so low to the ground that the Astro-Droid couldn't get out (Except by using it's rocket boosters)?

Why is Anakin alowed to dress in cool looking black-leather while all the other Jedi have to dress like Monks?

How did Padme get through the first 20 years of her life without seeing a waterfall?

Why are Jedi impervious to heat?

Just who was Master Syfo Dyas anyway?

How come the Naboo starfighter was designed with no landing gear?

What is Jawa juice?

Why does Count Dooku keep his ship on the other side of the planet to his base of operations?

Why is the high ground so damned important?

And of course, how do you stop your own heart when your husband has just become a sith?

^ It's these kind of enternal mysteries that keep me coming back to this endlessly fascinating trilogy! ;-)

I understand your doubts. But JJ aside, the likes of Arndt, Kasdan, Kinberg et al are reasons for optimism. And they're all massive fans. As for JJ? he will probably get the best script and screenplay he's ever had to work with from Arndt. It's going to be interesting to see what he does with it.

Some of the designs of the Prequel craft were pretty good,.....but the Droid slots don't make sense on any of them, the Naboo fighters show clearly that the hole for R2's head is on a tube which has no provision for R2's legs/shoulders.....the cross section explination demonstrates that his head extends away from his body (Inspector Gadget style)....but then the ship doesn't have enough depth for his body.....also the hole for his head doesn't allow for the holoprojectors

How the designer made compromises like this is beyond me.....and did it again for the ROTS Starfighter....there is no room for an R2 unit in there, his lower body & feet magically disappear into the dimension warping droid slot......balls up

Ep7 will (hopefully) be JJ making a 1977 Lucas movie in the same way Super 8 was JJ making a 1977 Spielberg movie. I haven't rewatched it since the theater, but I'll have to do so one of these days. The trailer was on a blu-ray I was watching the other day. Some of the shots really jumped out at me as "wow, those literally look like they could've been straight out of Close Encounters."

If he can do the same thing with Ep7 (simply replace "Close Encounters" with "Star Wars '77"), we'll be in good shape.

The schedule does seem kind of intimidating. The new Star Wars that has to launch the next 20 years of everything and also doesn't squander the return of han and luke and also doesn't look like green screen shit has to be done in 20 months. Go.

I wonder if George will come out of retirement.

I can not believe he's still pissing about filming in England (if true?) yeah it maybe at bit of an upheaval, but think of the countless people that have to temporarily uproot due to their jobs. You signed up, sacrifices have to be made, if its such a big deal? Then leave your family at home. Get real.
