There had better be. I've gotten sick of that place. The only movie we don't see it in is ESB.

I must confess that if we saw an older Luke standing in a certain spot watching that double sunset, I would get goosebumps. That could be the teaser shot right there.
Luke went back to Tatooine in the Marvel comic, and the scene where he returned to the ruins of the moisture farm was touching.

I suppose the prequels ruined my enjoyment of Tatooine, but I would rather not see it at all. There are so many neat places in the galaxy that we could see and I would prefer only seeing one or two planets that we've seen before, and no remote planets like Tatooine, Dagobah, Hoth, etc. that have already had a lot of screen time.
Huh... I wonder where IGN got that screen grab from. It's certainly not from any official source (BD, GOUT), is it?

I agree. However, for me it would absolutely have to be a visit to a long-deserted, ruined homestead, decades later. I never saw the last two films, but even the revisit in the fourth film killed the magic of the place.
No doubt, I'm intrigued by what Abrams can do. That said, I'd really prefer a departure from the tiny story and universe Lucas couldn't seem to move away from.

Maybe it's from an old electronic press kit or something? In the days of lobby cards, images slightly different from what was in the movie were common.

Ha! Despite minor differences (in grain, cropping, etc.), the mystery remains! http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Legacy/post/531536/#TopicPost531536

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

It's not a screenshot of any VHS, DVD, or Blu-Ray, but it is a picture that I've seen in many places.
I think it's a promotional still from the time of the SE's. It's on IMDb if I'm not mistaken.

If it's true that she plays a descendant of Obi-Wan, does this mean they're doing away with the whole "Jedi are forbidden to love" thing!?
Not necessarily. Lucas himself came up with the retcon that the PT-era Jedi, while never allowed to fall in love or have long-term relationships, still went around having sex and one-night stands*.
*Is it any wonder why I utterly loathe the PT Jedi and Lucas "brilliant" vision?
Ben could have gotten really drunk on Tatooine one night in town though. Anyone in his situation must have had some really bad days living in secret on that rock.

Where did he reveal this? Ô_o
Tatooine is the most marketable planet on the franchise. Of course, we will see it in all three sequels because Abrams is all albout marketability. Why do you think he put khan into the latest Star Trek movie?

Not sure, but I've come across the quote of him saying as such a few times. I think even the EU's taken to running with the stupid idea.

I think that was always there. It may not be explicit in the OT, but given the monk like lives of Yoda and Obi it might be inferred.
It's also said pretty plainly in the first draft. To paraphrase:
GENERAL SKYWALKER: Hey Jedi kid. Your dad was never much in the self-control department. You existing is evidence of that.
Maybe Luke has retired to Tatootine, or is there with his one apprentice. I could dig on that.

But Obi and Yoda weren't living Monk-like lives by choice or because of a code of conduct. They were hiding from the Empire. At least that's always been my reading of the films.

Agreed, but the idea of these warrior monks being ascetics doesn't exactly come out of left field.
But ascetics don't have sexual flings. The whole notion of asceticism is to avoid indulgences, not to give in to them.
I agree with TheBoost.
Yoda: A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind.
The only thing it really conflicts with is the EU.
George made the retcon in an attempt to appease EU fans and stupid people asking, "Where do baby Jedi come from if they never fuck?".
The thing that surprised me was how intertwined the Jedi and Republic were in the prequels. I always expected the Jedi to be a separate organization that was called upon whenever there was trouble, sort of like the Justice League.
Furthermore, the movies barely did anything to define the relationship between the Jedi and the Republic. Why, for instance, did the chancellor have to send the jedi to the Naboo blockade in secrecy. Would the senate have normally had vote on sending the Jedi?
I'm hope that Luke ditches the marriage rule and the intertwinement with the Republic. In fact, how about all the Jedi being independent instead of there being a Jedi Order?

Considering I think the only reason the 'marriage rule' was created in the first place was to inject some forced conflict into the AOTC love story, that's quite possible.

The author of that article got one item wrong though. Tunisia wasn't used in ROTJ.
