I’d love for SirRidley to make a version of the crawls with the actual titles if possible. Would be cool to have both versions for those who prefer the original titles.
I’ll consider it! Others have asked for that as well. I doubt Hal would make a separate edition of the films just to change a few words, but maybe he could have the crawls with original titles as separate downloads that could be edited into the films by those who want them.
I respect Hal’s right to title his own films how he rights, but selfishly I’d love to be able to trick my daughter into thinking that Hal’s are the versions as originally released.

The above link isn’t working. I’ve just listened to the previous clips and it is pretty hard going from nature to R2. I think your above link is the line without R2, I bet that would solve the issue.

Not terrible, maybe trim the extraneous sound 3PO makes after “nature” if possible, and then I’d also suggest cutting the end of the shot by a few frames as it seems to linger awkwardly for a beat there without the additional word.
^^^ Good point Dom, watched it a few times and agree it does have an awkward lingering since there isn’t a further line or word. Shortening it up some frames will do the trick.
Also, side note, which is probably just me, but does the way 3PO say “nature” sound kind of off or different? I can’t put my finger on it, but something feels a bit off about it.
But hey, that’s just me and I agree with Dom’s suggestion above.

Yeah, me neither. You got more out of it than me though.
Here’s another attempt, taking your helpful feedback into account. I made it a little louder, too, because it is a little difficult to make out without its original context.
The last word has an odd sounding pronouncement, because I had to cut him off, and it sounds sort of… Scottish, maybe? I grant it’s a little weird.

The increased volume is an improvement. I can hear the words much better. Also trimming the last bit of frames is a big improvement.

For the above post, that reminds me of an idea regarding the “wrench.”
From the scene at the duration from 46 - 48 with the pod running, couldn’t putting an object on the ground below it be the wrench showing it fell through the vents onto the ground? That seems the simplest way to connect the dots.

Seems like the most straight forward way to deal with this is to edit the shot so the wrench doesn’t fall into the engine in the first place. Perhaps that’s something I could help with later, I’m still working on the hyperspace scene for IV at the moment (not much left).
If we overanalyze this further, with the idea that continuity errors not caused by the fan editing are kosher, I think its fine.
In TPM, Jar Jar drops the wrench into the engine. Then, he reaches for what has to be something else and gets his hand stuck. The original wrench isn’t addressed again.
Either way, I really don’t think this is worth sweating.

For Jar Jar, you could potentially cut it just as it hits the pod, right before bounces off and falls in and see if that might work.
I personally would probably just cut the whole bit of him getting zapped.
