I actually loved the blu-rays even with the flaws. But I think their 3 stages of quality control were Curly, Larry, & Moe.
This is quality control for the PT: "The movie is crap anyways, If I was to keep the quality up I would have to issue a blank disc, so who cares!"

I have to say my biggest disappointment in this entire bluray set is the bloody arm in the cantina... I'm glad the claw thing is gone from the 2004 version... but why couldn't they fix this one little shot for continuity?
What claw thing are you referring to? The only thing I can think of is maybe the arm from Adywan's first release of Revisited before he tweaked it for his DVD release.
Although it's been a long long time since I've touched my official 2004 DVD. Is there a difference in that scene between the official DVD and Blu-ray?
I think you're right... shows which i watch more :P
Still, my point still stands :P

And I think saying that is an insult to the Three Stooges.
Why I oughta....
Mark Hamill actually worked with one of the stooges early in his career.
Where were you in '77?
Which one? Lucas?

Perhaps it's time you quit your paradoxical complaining about our complaining?
Wait, are you now complaining about his complaining about the complaing?*
*I am not complaining, I am merely inquiring.

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM
"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.
Dear Sir,
I wish to complain about the number of complaints on this site. They are clearly not written by the general public, and are merely included for a cheap laugh.
Yours Sincerely,

On the lightsaber subject. Why reshoot. Ady was able to do it on his own.
And yes, i liked the Blue Rays even though stuff wasn't fixed that i would hope they would. I know i'm gonna get a lot of hate mail for saying this, but i wish they reshot the Emperor scenes with the ROTS version.
Then the "slugs" would be replaced by whatever the heck that is dancing on his hood at the end of Episode III.
I think it's digital dandruff...

Your taking this way too seriously. Calm down please.

You're on a site called originaltrilogy.com telling people voicing concerns about changes to Star Wars to stop complaining, and followup by telling anyone who takes time to articulate their disagreement with you in detail, that they obviously have personal problems.
And I need to calm down?
Again, just, please, stop throwing mud. If you don't like to argue your opinion, there are plenty of other forums out there where you can go and do just that and not be accosted by people who take you "way too seriously".

Woah there, take it easy man. No one here is trying to start any sort of fight with you, and no one is slinging mud at you. Take it easy man jeeze....

You have a tremendous ability to never actually reply to what other people write. But then, maybe it's simply my personal issues running wild again...

Well, i'm done with Star Warriors on disc nine. I'm looking forward to watching Interview with GL, Irvin Kershner and John Williams on ESB ten years later.

Did they actually fix the delayed reaction of Obi-Wan to Jar-Jar getting tazed by that lance-thingie in the Gungan underwater city?
I've had the star wars saga blu-rays for some time now I enjoy everything about them picture , sound , extras, everything. Sure episode 1 is not perfect transfer on blu-ray because of the DNR issues but it's a decent transfer. The other 5 star wars films on blu-ray look very good though with ROTS and the original trilogy looking the best. Sure some fans are not going to like the new color timing of the OT from 2004 but it's not a big issue for me and some of the error's from the 2004 dvd release's for the OT have been corrected for the blu-ray's. Sound wise the films have never sounded better with the DTS HD Master Audio 6.1 soundtrack on blu-ray. Episode 4 sound's very good on blu-ray and again most of the audio problems from the 2004 dvd release for Episode 4 have been corrected. And the other 5 films of the saga sound good on blu-ray too.
I thought the very same thing. Though there were some issues, i thought it was the best version of the films.

So just to be clear, you believe that the versions of the OT on the blu-ray are better versions of the film than appeared in theaters in 1977, 1980, and 1983?
