This is on in 2 hours in HD on "the Hub" network. Interested parties should set their dvr's to record if they want to preserve this film.
Again, The Hub network at 9pm cst in the U.S. in HD on 1/4/14.
Everybody knows a least little about the Tom Hanks movie “Splash”, a romantic comedy about a businessman who falls in love in a mermaid after she rescues him. If you think the story sounds familiar, “Splash” was the first production for Touchstone Pictures, a company started by Disney where the focus was more adult-oriented then the parent-company. Unfortunately, dispite the fact that the movie was released on BD, the sequel however will likely never go beyond low resolution officially speaking. But fear not, there’s still hope. I mean look at this:

That’s right, there’s still hope that somebody will make a high quality transfer of the original VHS to DVD (much like some of us did with the “Star Wars Holiday Special”). Anybody interested?

Do you have the VHS? Are you asking for help capturing?

I do not have the VHS if anyone asking, unfortunately. But even if I wanted to buy it, I'm short on money right now.

I could probably pick it up for less than £10 from eBay UK.
I've seen the first Splash (seem to remember it was cheesy fun a la Mannequin) but never seen the sequel; is it worth preserving?

In my opinion, yes, because as far I'm aware of, the sequel was never released on DVD. Think of it as the home video version of the whole "Song of the South" problem.

Not trying to beat a dead horse with this post, but this movie is on once again tonight, January 5th 2014. As before it's on The Hub network in the US, and yes it's in HD. Tonights showing starts at 7pm cst. Might be the last chance to get an hd transfer if folks are interested. Personally I couldn't care less, but I noticed it in my guide and wanted to help out those who are interested.

There's a real DVD release for "Splash Too"? Buy it, rip it and upload it so I can enjoy it.

Looks like a bootleg to me, but would save ripping it
Clearly a bootleg, and promoting the sale of bootlegs is not allowed on this forum.

if it was a legitimate real DVD, you would be expected to purchase it - your post above is blatant piracy, and we don't allow that either.
