Thanks!

I’m assuming your joking about laserdisc looking good on a 125 inch screen though =p

If it’s set up well laserdisc should look fairly sweet on it. It won’t ever be HD but a good solid projector can make LD shine better on that screen than on a TV.

😃

Well I’m watching in on an approx. 125 inch screen… so I’ll probably just stick to blu-ray. 😛

Rest assured, while I may give my superficial congratulations to your lengthy and healthy marriage, I harbour nothing but resentment and envy on the inside.

(I jest, of course. 😛)

SCHOOLS OUT

For summer or forever?

For summer

It was an Alice Cooper reference.

That this had to be said boggles the mind…

I know. Looking back on it, it’s kind of ambiguous as to whether he got it or not, but I felt like I needed to clarify to be safe. The response I was hoping for was “School’s been blown to pieces!”

A really pretty girl and me are starting to talk more. I might try to go on a date with her this weekend. I’m a pretty socially anxious person so this is encouraging.

Good for you. I hope it goes your way.

I fancy myself a romantic, so it’s joyous to see this. Good luck!

As a socially anxious person myself, I’d be happy to lend advice if you ever need to ask.

Anyone know a good idea for a first date in high school? I want to be able to talk (not a movie) but I still want an activity to focus on if a conversation goes dead for a little bit.

Depends on your interests. A simple lunch can’t go wrong, conversation over food and drink. Though that’s usually after the activity, if it goes well, in my experience. Mini-golf/golf, Lazer Tag/arcades, bowling, are all fairly standard activities for a first date as far as I know. Check for any local events around town that may interest you. What have you two been talking about? (Rhetorical question) You can use that to help determine common areas of interest to plan an activity.

Maybe a George Webbs style first date. Simple, inexpensive, and an opportunity to converse naturally. I agree that Mini-Golf can be a really fun and relaxing way to get the night started. Breaks the ice some.

Have her home early too (10-15 minutes), Mom’s dig that, because they rule the roost. Also, make your self accessible to her parents, polite conversation and them seeing you does help.

😉

Agreed, but maybe not for the very first date. Play that by ear, but be accommodating to them.

Mini-golfing is a good choice and so is a lunch/dinner at a casual place. Just make sure that you don’t talk about school because you want to make it clear that it’s actually a date and not just an interaction between two classmates.
