Hi guys, sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but I'm new here, and though I read the whole thread, I may have missed it.

Are the Magnoliafan Episode I and II edits avaiable anywhere as DVD-rs? I can only find avi versions, and I really dig them, so I'd like to get a nice DVD version..

Any help would be appreciated.

yeah yeah yeah...i fixed it, its a 33 rpm record had a brain fart, didnt have my 2 cups of coffee at the time i posted :-p

ROFL!

I have the ANH sountrack on two LPs, but no functional record player to play it on. I'd LOVE to put that as an alternate soundtrack on my DVD.

I have access to a record player (obviously) and its a pretty good one, its my brothers from when he was spinning. I could capture it for you if you want. send me a pm if your interested.

They're sparse at best. There is a greater reason to have them on the DL version than the SL version, but nonetheless, menus do help with compliance on older models. For the SL version that's been torrented, it really just allows selection of the two subtitle streams. There is no motion and audio in the menus. Especially for the SL, I thought it best to reserve all possible space for the video stream.

The DL version does have more features. 5.1, 2.0 and the commentary.

If ever I finish ANH there will be several more things. Alternate subtitles that make Jabba's scene less redundant and more effective. And perhaps a big fat easter egg that'll be fun for years to come.

Completely off-topic, but I remember reading a web page by some guy who claimed he could rip the audio off a record by using a flatbed scanner! I don't know if it was a hoax or not, but it looked believable.

So are you posting this torrent?

Also, my version is actually (will be) a mixed mode audio/data cd. It has 4 audio tracks and the data track that will include scans of the front and back of the lp cover.

I split this into 4 tracks because I didnt think that one continuous track was very practical. So i used the locations where there were pauses (after the opening, after luke and han's first mission, then at the side change, which is also a change in plot/scene) so basically each track is its own scene similar to how a dvd would be set up. I also smoothed down some of the major pops/cracks so that i could normalize it to a more reasonable volume. Other than that I did not 'clean up' or edit the sound in any way (i planed on looking into this for a future release, but since it looks like Rikter already has a release of this, this might not be getting put out there, as i dont think there is really much of a need for multiple versions of an audio story, but if people still want my version i can release it after i make a few quick adjustments to improve the quality).

My AdigitalMan ROTJ DVd download isn't *done* but it's close enough for my comptuer to play certain parts of the movie.

I love how he handled the Jabba musical number. He used the Cd version of Lapti Nek! Very well executed, I love the idea.

He has, by all acounts, edited the official DVD to create what I'd like to call a watchable SE. It's not an O-OT restoration, but the SE is now watchable IMHO.

And could we get some more seeders on this thing? My download stopped at 89%. Thanks.

Mines done and ill keep seeding it for a while. There were a bunch of people (8 i think) still seeding it when i checked not too long ago (unfortunatly still seems there is a good amout of people that grab and run ) but ill prob keep it up for the rest of the week (i do need to reclaim my laptop at some point and prob reinstall it cause gonna need it for a business trip in two weeks, but ill seed for as long as i can).

cant wait to get home and burn this to a dvd and check it out

I like what he did as well, but overall I still don't like the sequence. This isn't a slam against ADM's work - I just don't care for the new CG/scenes.

It's still a very impressive effort.

Does anyone know any way to find active torrents of the ROW47 version of the Original Trilogy? I'm looking for the best overall versions for my own collection.

If not, can someone please elaborate on the "known error" in Empire?

The 'known error' with ESB is the four second pause between the "I think we better replace the negative power coupling" scene and the Liea "weilding" scene. No biggie really, IMO.

Incidentally, can SOMEBODY please help me???
I just plain cannot figure out how to make my external DVD burner burn. It's a Toshiba exernal drive, and it burned fine when I try to copy an already existing physical disc I have.
But it always runs into a problem with burning a DVD from file. It says it burned sucessfully, but neither one of my DVD players nor my PC will read it! Then the dialog box I played it with said an unspecified error crept up. Every time.

Can somebody either recommend a good software to use (PM me serial numbers if necessary) or just tell me what I'm doing wrong??

Thanks very much in advance... I'm sure it's a painfully obvious answer that I'll feel stupid for overlooking.
