where did you get this screenshot from?
I don't think it's a screenshot; it's an actual film cel. (cell? I see both.) Look at the writing up top.
Boba Fett was also on the "Droids" cartoon. Could be another source for extras.

best so far. looking forward to seeing the rest of them (please to retro prequels! concept art could be a good place for imagery) its good to see the bold red as oppose to blues. are you going to have a different colour per film?
That cover is really, really nice, I've always prefered retro artwork. The back seems a bit empty but the front is great.
Yeah... each will have its own colour scheme. Started on A New Hope today but not finished yet... still not finished with the ESB one yet. Glad people are liking it though, and YES they're all gonna be retro (and yes Ben_danger... retro for the prequels, though I imagine we're many years off them!)...
Shameless self promotion...
Awesome cover for ESB, VincentSmalls - I'm definitely interested to see what you have in store for the ANH cover.
I really like that last cover. Has a nice classic/vintage vibe. Great color scheme too.
In regards to the Boba Fett cartoon, to confirm what Ripplin says, it is a cell. Ben Danger: I do think that is a good idea, though it would be time intensive.
I have the KCCP (?) version of the Holiday Special, which I believe is the best copy available; the youtube links aren't quite as good (there is still bleeding colors, but overall the image is pretty good. I will try to post some screencaps if I can dig it up).

Do you mean the KCCI version? I have that one and remember it being heralded as the best quality version around.

i had that one, i think it got deleted a while ago. would someone be able to rip the holiday special from it? (pretty please!:D)
(the only problem with it is you dont get the amazing retro adverts, which you do get on google video. theres an amazing TOBOR toy advert where the tag line is 'TOBOR is ROBOT spelt backwards'.:P)
I have the KCCI version too, and yeah, it does look pretty impressive, all things considered!

this is one of my favorites. reminds me of all the old art work i've purchased online. sw related btw.
the silhouetts of the AT-ATs are cool too. :)

Reminds me of the old Atari 2600 game.

Expand on that one rcb. Im interested on what you mean.
Nice cover V underwear, fresh.
That is a cool cover. I love its retro feel. The only things that really bother me are the AT-ATs; which are all in-step with one another. That, and the back looks a bit... forlorn. Empty.
Maybe add a few stars or something?
Aside from that, it's really great! :)

VincentSmalls, love the cover art! I also prefer the retro look, and I love the bold red. I do agree however that the back seems a bit barren, and now that Enigmas mentioned the AT-ATs in step with each other, it does seem to stand out a bit.
Monroville, great idea about the Star Wars Holiday Special cartoon extra. Provided, of course, that there is anough space on the disc (I'm sure it wouldn't take up very much). It certainly seems a fitting extra, as it is the first time most of us were introduced to Boba.
I'm kind of torn on the whole cameo appearance idea. On the one hand, I can see why Ady may consider it, since it could help the project along, and I'm sure most of us would get a kick out of making a cameo, but it does bother me knowing that random faces have been altered and replaced. Something about that doesn't seem right to me.
Screenie from Boba Fett cartoonie.
If you'd like to download the cartoonie, PM me. I'm upping a rip (624x480 avi - Xvid Mpeg4) to Mega Upload. :)

Version 2 is up. Sorry if I'm clogging up the boards with this. I will post in the other thread too when I'm done with A New Hope. Is this better everyone? I hadn't finished when I posted originally and was fully aware the back was horribly bare. This is what I'm going for across each of the three covers... I'll see what I can do about the repeated At-At stencil if it's still badly noticable each of the three are the same. Enjoy!

Fantastic cover, Vincent - although "comparisons" only has one R (and on the first version it has too many Ss). I don't mean to nitpick, but I wouldn't want you to finalize it only to spot the error later.
Oh, and not sure about the DTS logo... :)
DE
Yeah... the logos and the 'special features' is all just guess work! It can change no bother... I'll make the spelling correction, cheers! I'am veryy bad at speling.

aside from the typos, that is brilliant! (are they colour corrected thumbnails on the reverse?)

Lookin' good! I was actually going to use this poster, too, before I went with the more classic poster.
A few things: The "revisited" part of the logo on the front cover looks pasted on. If you can, try to match the background color better, and maybe make the text a little thicker to better match the rest.
The spine is alright, especially if the rest of the series matches.
On the back, I would definitely axe the dts logo, unless Ady decided to make a dts track. The summary is good, but you may want to try to justify the text so the paragraph is squared off on both the left and the right. For the special features section, I would change "sound" to "audio".
And, just to satisfy my inner English-nazi, I would change the "Lovingly..." paragraph to "Lovingly crafted by fan editor Adrian Sayce, The Empire Strikes Back: Revisited combines elements from the 1980 theatrical release and the 2004 DVD Special Edition with hand crafted special effects shots to create a definitive version of the classic film."
