Really? Compare to the length that Luke has to climb to get to the gun turret in ANH.

 

True.  Of course, we've all seen the attempts at correlating outside and inside dimensions and the complete failure to be able to come up with a workable solution, but still this is a fixable element in this circumstance.

Well i managed to get shit loads done today. The colour correction is coming along pretty fast now. So here's the new comparison clip i promised. Trying to keep 3PO's colour constant was a bit of a nightmare. Just look at his colouring in the original video compared to mine and you'll see what i mean. Some shots he was almost black & white. Gotta love those colour correction guys at ILM. I bet they're really proud of their work

We're doing as well as can be expected really. Its hit my kids pretty hard. they saw him every day as he lived just over the road from them and the accident happened very close to their house. His funeral is tomorrow and it looks like its going to be a very big turn out. The police still haven't released any details about the lad who was driving the car. Isn't this country great when the law protects the guilty.

Ady, I hope you and your family pull through this troubled time for you. Seems your only release is in this edit and even then the gods seem to be against you! 

On the comparison clip, I hadn't really noticed how bad the matte lines show up in the blueified ESB until I saw the Adyfied one!

The new clip looks amazing.  De-bluing the asteroids out the windows of the Falcon immediately made a difference, making the asteroids look more solid (at least to me).  I also like the SD bridge shaking, so they don't all fall over for no reason at all (or it was a REALLY stable camera on the bridge there).  I can't wait to see what further tweaks you do to these scenes, especially the retraced lasers and better matted explosions.

Adywan -  Great to see your improved colouring on this sequence.  Terrifice stuff. 

And your Stardestroyer 'shake' is just perfect!  It's the little things like that which will help to make this edit as awesome as your previous one.
