That's interesting. I need to listen to the radio drama of ESB. I've only listened to ANH (three times through).
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, but in the Battle of Hoth 2 people fall down for no apparent reason. Also one rebel is shot by an AT-AT, but you can barely see it. Has Adywan said anything about fixing these errors?
Also I see on the Star Wars Revisited page's cover photo on facebook that ESB:R will be released near the end of 2013. I really hope so because my dad is 42 and hasn't seen the OT (I know >_>) and I want him to have the definitive Star Wars experience, but I've been keeping him waiting ever since April when ESB:R was set to release in May and I think he's growing rather impatient.

The important thing is that it is everything Adywan and his friends want it to be. I don't care when it will be released, perfection takes time, we all know that.
Finally got to watching this on my desktop computer... Like the clip even more now.
Something to note about the clip is that the audio is still temporary even though we are discussing possibilities with Rogue 3 line which I agree with I doubt it will be like that in the final version so we are jumping the gun.
I still think that the base light is too blue / not enough white for the hologram projector though... Although I agree with the base being lit. and new hologram is faultless.
If you take into account a projected image on to a screen of one color the center where the light is more intense and more focused will have a hotspot and the edges faded out slightly with a different color temperature.
so what I mean is can you add a hotspot?
But to be honest it's not a major deal I think the new clip is great and can't wait for more revisited goodness.
I just noticed another error. After Luke tried to lift the X-Wing out of the swamp on Degobah there is a shot of him with disappointment in his eyes and he's breathing a little more than usual. In the very next shot he goes to sit next to Yoda and he's breathing rather heavily like he just ran a triathlon. Can this please be fixed?
And how exactly do you suggest it be fixed? How can "heavy breathing" be removed without building a time machine and going back to reshoot the scene?
It's been years since I watched ESB simply because I'm waiting to watch this version with a clear mind so to speak, so you could be right that it looks weird or that the continuity isn't right. I honestly don't remember, but I don't see how something like that can be fixed if it indeed needs fixing.

The technical skill you show & attention to detail are only equaled by your patience!
One minor thing I noticed in the latest clip released, is that the red graphics you've been adding to the snow speeders control console are missing from a few frames just after Dak is killed (~23").
Also is the snow speeder flap you're building to correct the shot where the speeders bank towards camera with the wrong flap up? (~57)
Finally, just to reiterate a point previously made, one thing that really stood out to me was the great golden colour of C-3PO!

Something I noticed while watching the recent vid...
It seems the side guns on the AT-ATs don't shoot evenly. Specifically check 0:30 and 0:43 - you will notice the side guns moving, but not shooting. Should anything be coming out of them (I'm not saying they should be constantly shooting, just when it appears they are being used and aiming at something)?
Also, should Wedge's snow speeder cast a shadow at 1:28 when he's circling around the legs in the high overhead shot?

Good point on the shadow... Thinking about the side gun action in the overhead shot. I would say part of the problem with this is that the trail is too long. Side guns should be short rapid bursts of short trail lasers 1/4 size of main guns (or less) this would really differentiate them and make them make more sense rather than having the same effect as the "under the chin" big guns.
Because the trail is as long as the under the chin guns it shows up the angles a lot more. But the angle is correct the AT-AT just moved it's head.
What I find amazing is that so much has been altered yet we all all talking about really minor stuff it's a testament to the quality of that last clip.

I'm sure Ady is still working some more on the visuals of this clip, but I just wanted to put on my "critique goggles" and be helpful in finding anything that's worth mentioning and possibly corrected/edited (in case any of these flew under the radar).

You're right too, its shadow should be seen in there. It's shadow is also missing between 1:32 - 1:33 (you'd at least notice it on the AT-AT's legs).
Also the shadow being cast by the snowspeeder is noticeably off between 1:24 - 1:25 when comparing it to the AT-AT's shadow (it's as if the light source is different between these two objects).
I believe the white cores are missing in the lasers at 0:42 (is it because what's seen outside the AT-AT's window will be changed?) and also between 0:58 - 1:00. All of the other lasers look perfect that I can tell.
At 1:45, the AT-AT's back leg (the far right one) has an attachment on the foot that appears to be off and then it suddenly "jumps" to its correct location between frames.
The bend in the AT-AT's legs as its tripping (more noticeably it's rear legs) are different at 1:47 than they are in the subsequent side-view shot. Not sure if it's fixable, but still worth mentioning.
The mountains in the background to the left of the fallen AT-AT (at 1:55) I believe are different than they were previously (at 1:50 for example). I noticed that other areas in several of the backgrounds were fixed though.
I think that is all that's worth mentioning - I hope this was helpful :)
I still can't get over how much I loved all of the little details that were added, no matter how minor, such as the snow being kicked up from the blasts as the speeders are beginning to shoot at the fallen AT-AT ;)

The original is on the left an edited version on the right. I used the soundtrack the radio drama and a bit of inspiration but I think the actual official chapter list is a bit thrown together and the titles could have been better. Just an idea for further improvement in a DVD authoring sense although it has nothing to do with the actual video. The chapters were conceived later on well after release so I thought this could perhaps do with a makeover and a better use of Chapter titles could be thought up where appropriate.
Just some food for thought and not saying this is what I think it should be but don't know really just thinking of the actual original titles that seem to have been misplaced for sentences characters say more than anything else.
Excellent work, Ady. But why did you change the Vader hologram? The new image looks too clean and hokey for some reason. I like the staticky interference look better. I'll tell you this, though, the Hoth battle looks so much cooler with all the AT-STs in it now. Bravo!

The original was shot at the wrong angle and very badly rotoscoped. Vader has an egghead and his feet are missing. The new hologram shows Vader as he should be.
There were many great visual FX achievements in ESB.
The original Vader hologram however was not one of them. I'm VERY happy with that upgrade.
The only complaint I could make towards Ady's new Vader hologram is that he looks a little short and stout for some reason. It might be the angle, but if his image were stretched just a tiny bit to make him appear taller, I think it would be spot on. Either way, a billion times better than the old one.
It IS indeed the angle. The actor playing the part was the right height. No artificial distortion is needed.
It's my understanding that Ady did stretch the hologram a little already. It doesn't need it anymore. The problem is the old one was at the wrong angle and that's what's burned into everyone's memories.
Nothing hokey about it. The original Vader puts his hands on his hips in a very un-Vaderlike Diva Pose. The new hologram matches Vader's stance perfectly.
