Here's something I noticed:
at the 0:38 to 0:40 mark of the XMAS CLIP, the glowing mark Vader leaves should be at a different angle. In the far off shot, Vader's blade is swinging to the left and slightly up (at a positive 5 to 10 degree arc). In the following close-up, the cut in the wall is going upwards to the left in a postive 45 degree angle:
Also, shouldn't the rail only have one cut in it, as opposed to two (since Vader only hits it once)?

arrow shows downward arc of Vader's sabre when he hits the rail once.

This is the actual impact with the Vane wall.

red area shows spot where Vader's sabre should have left a mark, and the arrow is pointing to a second cut in the rail when there should only be one. You know, maybe that entire T section on the rail (formed by the 2 small cut out areas) should be gone, with more of the orange heat glow, considering the angle of Vader's sabre hitting it, and that his sabre may have done more damage than make a slight cut in the rail.
Here is an example:

The cut in the railing is a bit bigger to account for the width of Vader's blade. The cut on the wall matches the angle of Vader's blade impact.
I also concur that the sabre seems a bit slow in retraction... maybe someone could make a Youtube clip with a montage of sabre retractions so we can determine the timing (or would that be too anal even for a STAR WARS fan... up to the challenge, ImpFighter?)?
Once again, you can right click to see them in their original, larger size.
BTW, nice addition of smoke on the cut railing...
