I've said it before and I'll say it again.
It's really late in the project.
It's inevitable that when footage is shown people will make comments along the "maybe it would be better if" or "perhaps that doesn't quite fit" line and sometimes it may come from bits of footage already seen because seen in a larger context sometimes certain elements pop out where they didn't before or maybe people did see the earlier posting and this is there first exposure to those elements.
I could well understand Ady just wanting to push ahead and feeling a bit dragged down by all these comments but they come from the desire to help.
If comments of a critical nature aren't welcome the best way to avoid them is for Ady to just stop showing footage and press ahead with the confidence that by now he has pretty much mapped out where he is going anyway.
Showing footage reminds people that this project is still alive and kicking and can generate interest in contributing to it and Ady's future projects but it will bring comments.
If showing the footage is beneficial in terms of exposure my advice to Ady would be just don't get annoyed by the comments.
I really find it difficult to actually suggest anything new when I see a fresh clip or if something pops into my head at this point because it is so close to being complete.
Anything I could suggest could only serve to annoy or (in the unlikely case of my suggesting something Ady hadn't already considered and he liked) set back the completion of the thing by prompting further adjustments.
