Thanks for making the lists for the public and the fans but nothing is stopping you for not doing it.

Anyways i wish a xvid one so ady can avoid mistakes like the ones hes left in ANH:R ( i think he mentioned that he is not bothering with the details he was/will leave/ft)

Yes, only one version of ESBR please. It's hard enough trying to list the changes between 2004 and Revisited, let alone between different versions of Revisited.

 

Don't worry 005, there will only be 1 version of ESB:R.

Ady, in that case, may I make a suggestion? While I completely agree with the preference to have only one version of ESB:R floating around out there, nevertheless there's also a lot of merit in the idea of a first-draft xvid for other people to preview and critique (mainly just because a "fresh" pair of eyes can sometimes see things that "familiar" eyes might accidentally overlook).

So, my suggestion would be to make such an xvid and send it only to three or four well-known forum members who are (a) detail-oriented enough to spot things that are out of place, and (b) trustworthy enough not to release said xvid to anyone or post it anywhere on the internet.

Forum members who come to mind are, for example, Doubleofive, ImperialFighter, Ganamae, etc.

Just a thought for your consideration. :)

Sorry, I should've been more specific. I know that a workprint has already been sent out in the past, but I meant that limited distribution of an xvid workprint of the initial final draft of ESB:R would be a good idea. That is to say, when Ady is "finished" with the edit sometime in mid-2011, it might be worth the extra time to send out an xvid workprint of that, presumably finished, draft of the film, for said members to examine and critique. It would act as a kind of last-chance QC measure before the final DVD version is released to the public.

The work print he sent out long ago hasn't leaked, and I honestly don't think it will. There would be no point really. Especially with the "final work print" seeing as how the final product will be available so shortly afterward. Who would want to D/L and unfinished version anyway?

 You realize of course, that if you do this it will not be a question of if it gets leaked, but when.  It is an undeniable fact that the ability to keep a secret is inversely proportional to the magnitude of the number of people who know it to begin with.

That's why I suggested a very limited release to trusted individuals like 005, et al. I sincerely believe that none of those forum members I mentioned would ever leak the workprint if Ady asked them not to.

And, although I don't know who all the "ESB:R crew" entails, I would presume that Ady knows what he's doing, and that they're trustworthy too.

I believe he said he did a screening at home for some select people around the time of the first workprint, right? He could just do the same thing for a final preview.
