One thing that always bugged me about ESB. Growing up in school long before I saw ESB or even knew which movie it happens in, I often heard the line "Luke I am your father." It is probably the most quoted line in movie history. It's probably the most misquoted line in movie history too. The first time I saw ESB I was expecting Darth Vader to say it like that but instead he says "No, IIIII am your father." Adywan, could you insert the word "Luke" in his line right after he says "No"? So instead he says, "No Luke, I am your father."

Noooooooo!

That's something Lucas would do.

Exarctly. Let's hope he's not reading this thread...for various reasons.

I was just thinking about the "I know" scene and how it was much longer and sappier than that originally. Did they film it in the original incarnation? I can't remember.

I think the only deleted scene I wish could be in ESB:R if it were possible would be the "you should wear girls' clothes all the time" line. :D

No offense, Ghostbusters, , but that is the single worst suggestion for Revisited that I have ever read.

And while you're are at it, you should change JEJ's voice to that of Darth Stewie, pictured to the left.  You know, this would be a good idea for RotJ:R as well, come to think of it.

“You have failed me for the last time Admiral……didn’t know i could choke you through the tv, did you?  Well I can!”

C'mon..... you know it would be killer!

Yeah. The visions of Luke and Leia in the clouds during Luke's training...

Seeing as we have already seen Luke's grappling tool firing improve from missing twice in ANH to hitting the mark first time during the Hoth battle wouldn't it be an improvement to have Luke avoid falling down the chasm by firing a grapple at another vane and avoid all that sliding down tubes and hanging around outside?

It would make that duel end on a more heroic note and plot Luke's grapple firing prowess improving to the point where he can get it right first time with one hand.

All the other films have Luke swinging from one place to another so why not this one?

How about we replace Boba Fett's voice with the voice of Jan-

I'm pretty sure that version was filmed because there's commentary or interview somewhere of Kersh saying that they filmed it a few times with the sappier dialogue and none of them - Kersh, Ford or Fisher - felt like it was working.  That was when Kersh told Ford "Don't think about what to say, just go with your gut" (or something to that effect) and that's when Ford came up with "I know".

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

I can assure you that Bingo was joking.

Ady, is there any chance we could get a Kersh cameo somewhere?  Seems like a nice tribute.

Been forever since I posted, but I have been reading.

In regards to the Kersh Rememberance in ESB:R,

Maybe we could have a dedication title?

After the Adywan production title we could have a black screen, Blue Star Wars script lettering (from the credits) "For Kersh", centered in the screen. Then the start the regular 20th Century title... Lucasfilm title... etc...

Just felt that it would be fitting to have something very stated.... just a thought.

Also..

It's definitely in keeping with the fine tradition of Revisited cameos.

How many have there been exactly?

I only know of three,

1. Adywan's hand for Dr Ezaven's severed arm in the cantina.

2. Adywan in the rebel crowd at the Medal Ceremony.

3. Young George Lucas across from Adywan in the Medal Ceremony.

I like the idea of a director's cameo in every film.  Lucas for Star Wars, Kershner for Empire, and Marquand for Jedi (I'd put Lucas in Jedi, too, since by many accounts he backseat-directed it).
