I was gonna make a comment involving any or all of the following: koalas, kangaroos and/or wallabys, Vegemite, Paul Hogan, Yahoo Serious, Bruce[s], Monterey Jack, Steve Irwin, drongos, didgeridoos, Kylie Minogue, Chris Atkinson, etc...

...but I didn't.

You about to cross some lines, boy!

How's that unfortunate business with the workstation coming along?

 My guess is "slowly".

I think you misread my post, I was talking about the Lucasfilm Ltd logo not the Fox logo, you might not call this twinkly.

The immediate topic at that point was about the 20th Century fox logo, not the Lucasfilm logo. With all due respect, could you clarify your posts a little bit better, before you try to change the topic.

As far as the newer Lucasfilm logo is concerned, I like it alot better than the plain green text version, but thats just my own opinion.

Personally my Pavlovian juices only really get moist when I see the old Lucasfilm logo (I associate the twinkly one with so much disappointment) but it would be daft replace the twinkly one with a nice clean reconstruction of the old one just to get me dribbling...Oh Zeus Plugs did I actually type that?

How is this not clear?  You want Bingo to announce SLIGHT TOPIC SHIFT next time?

No, I asked if he could clarify his posts a little bit better next time he try's to change the topic. No offense to Bingowings was implied.  Perhaps he thought we were talking about the lucasfilm logo instead.

I actually thought he was reffering to the Fox Logo at first.

This is just a simple case of both sides misunderstanding each other, so calm down a little bit Frink, Ripplin, and brash_stryker.

I just want to give prior warning that (if the thread drifts anywhere near the subject of Hirsute Crustacea at some point in the next 100 pages) I may post a picture of a fuzzy crab.

Come to think of it they do look like the sort of thing George could have added to the Wampa scenes.

ABD no offense was taken but I realised you were talking about the Fox logo and posted on the related subject of the LFL logo.

Sorry, but all that happened is you didn't read Bingo's post very closely.

So true which is why I would really love to see Leia line "Star Destroyer" removed.

In a film that is so visually intelligent (even after Lucas fiddled with it) having Leia do the Princess Obvious thing sticks out like a sore thumb in a way it never would in the PT.

I don't mind Leia saying that. Although it is obvious to us, the audience, that there is a Star Destroyer, in the heat of the moment, it seems quite natural that Leia, or anybody for that matter, would shout out "Star Destroyer" if you suddenly saw one. If you were driving along and suddenly a bus was coming right for you, your passenger is quite likely to shout out "LOOK OUT - A BUS!", even though it would be quite obvious. It's just a knee-jerk reaction.

LOL, poor Adywan.  He innocently posts a single screenshot from a "completed" portion of the edit to appease a fan and look at all of the ruckus it has raised.  ;)

The delivery of the line is so... bland, though.

She could be exhausted physically/mentally after all they've been through. They've suffered devastating losses and it seems natural to me that she might seem quieter and not take the OMFG! approach in that situation. The lioness has been made to feel like a mouse by the Empire.

ANH , "HERE THEY COME!" (TIE Fighters suddenly turn up and begin shooting the crap out of the Falcon)

ROTJ , "FIGHTERS COMING IN!" (Waves of TIEs burst into view shooting the crap out of everyone)

ESB, Leia does a one finger Nazi salute in slow motion and nonchalantly delivers the line "Star Destroyer...zzzz" as Vader's command ship slowly drifts in front of a badly composed frame while they are being chased and having the crap blown out of them by TIE fighters.

In every case someone is announcing something visually obvious but in the first two cases it's A) Done with dramatic effect and B) The focus of the line is the visually most dramatic thing that is on screen.
