How the hell do you work so fast, Adywan? You seem to most of the non-model stuff done already, looking at that screenshot.
It's called a lot of sleepless nights and having it seem like i'm surgically attached to my PC. lol

Oh and by the way, where can one buy these master replicas like the Falcon Ady bought?! Anyone?
thanks !
I got mine from ebay as most of the shops that had it listed were sold out. I guess getting one now is going to be very difficult as they are now out of production.

While that 'cameo' idea sounds fun, it's a little scary that we might end up seeing 'replacement' faces that may be more at home in the Cantina Bar for all we know!
Although the project itself should be incentive enough for anyone, that early 'behind the scenes footage' suggestion sounds a winner to me, although I like the idea of an 'unreleased' clip being a possible option sometime too.
Yeh, the cameo may be a bit too ambitious but i will only be adding the cameos in places where it won't jump out at anyone watching that is a new face or character. If i can't do it convincingly enough then at least there will be the BTS clip which will feature a new finished clip at the end.

Ady, thanks for the update and sneak peek at the Vader shot (and thanks too to Angel for pointing it out).
A couple questions for you though:
First, could you refresh my memory... why are you doing a new Echo Base and Falcon model? I forget what problems these were supposed to help you fix (i.e., specific shots? Continuity issues?)
Secondly, what are the donations helping you with exactly? I'm assuming they're going towards materials for the various physical elements you're currently constructing?
Lastly, the idea of pasting our faces into ESB:R is interesting, but I wonder if I'd even like to see my own face in it (on the one hand it would be kinda cool, but on the other it might take me out of the movie... and yet I'd be IN the movie... how ironic). At any rate, regardless of the whole cameo thing, I wasn't aware that funds were still so desperately needed, and I'd like to contribute again. Before I do, though, is there any "minimum" donation that makes it worthwhile? I ask only because once the funds get changed from Canadian to British currency, I'm not sure how "usable" a donation becomes.
And please, don't ever let a lack of funds, some people's desire for a definitive release date, or simply exhaustion discourage you from finishing this edit. I'd rather ESB:R take 20 years to complete than to have you abandon it altogether :)
Now go get some sleep man! :)
All the donations go towards materials. and . as Tesco's say here in the UK, every little helps. Things i still need to get are the camera dolly and track along with a boom & tripod. Now these aren't cheap. I don't need any of the large types just something that is big enough to do what i need but not too big that space becomes an issue. Looking around on ebay there are ones that are just silly prices and beyond what i would really need. I was going to make my own rig but i doubt now that i will be able to make one good enough for what i need. But i'm still looking at at at least £350 for the crane, dolly & track. Plus i need to get a couple of studio green screens. Why 2? well the studio ones are only a certain width so i would have to stitch 2 together to get a screen wide enough to use. I've just got myself a wide angle lens for the camcorder which is invaluable to be able to film shots like the asteroid canyon. the rest is all to do with building materials. Styrene, and lots of it, but this isn't cheap for the amount i'll be using. Also car body filer, and again lots of it, as this is the best filler due to its fine nature and easiness to sand for use with the modelling, then things like some extra lighting parts for the models etc. It's going to be about £100 for the amount of body filer alone. My daughters boyfriend works for a body repair centre and may be able to get me a bulk lot at trade prices if his boss will let him, but i don't want to rely on the that just in case. The good thing though is that most of the larger items like the dolly and rig will be reused when i get to ROTJ:R
Yes, i know its spiralled out of control a bit but all this extra work will be worth it. t is also very good practice for when i tackle ROTJ:R because there is so much more work to be done on that like replacing the Jabba's palace mattes with a real model, the rebel headquarters hangar amongst many others :)
