i haven't got the Star Wars scripts unfortunately but i would be interesting to read the descriptions for the scenes.
Here's a good site for most of them.
thanks for the link. Bigdaddyvader was kind enough to send me the scripts. There is some interesting stuff in the ESB script. haven't got all the way through it yet though.

I know this might be going back in the thread a bit but always remember Ady that if you're having any problems with the asteroid chase scene just film a couple of big ass spuds....that's what ILM did......lol
lol. yeh a bag of spuds from Tesco for the background asteroids. love it.
I will probably be making some asteroids to film for extra elements

Besides, you could still have the siren bit... <:)
That is a good idea ;)

If Ady likes this idea, I'm currently playing Jedi Outcast and there is a nice Klaxon noise as the Doomgiver falls apart.
no, i don't like the idea of adding a siren. the scene doesn't need it. he gave the announcement, which would have been heard city wide, so the need for a siren to signal the evacuation seems pointless.

I decided to create my own concept which mixes the two versions:

Note that I based it on the original GOUT one. In this variant, most of the original lighting parameters are kept and the new building Leia is in is now smaller and somewhat more colour-matched, making the entire scene look as if it's higher from the surface of the city and giving back that sense of perspective while keeping some new 2004 SE elements.
very nice mock-up. the main problem i have with that shot is the previous fly-through scene which would mean having to do a lot of work to match the colouring of the buildings.

I have a question, and this is going back to fixing errors originally made and not fixed by ILM and George Lucas, but half of the blaster battler towards when Leia, Chewbacca, the droids, and Lando get back on the MF there are things that I hope can be fixed. When they are shooting the blasters if you look carefully you shells be expelled from the weapons like if they were real pistols. I hope that will be fixed. This not fixed in A New Hope Revisted, but perhaps no one saw it before. You can see it when Leia is shooting the stormtroopers when she is with Luke.
And Adywan the images that you posted are fantastic (why ILM didnt do it scares me alot). There is no reason to nit pick anything in my opinion. Cant wait for further updates and the trailer.
yeh, this was discussed when i was doing ANH:R. the shell casings are virtually invisible and have never bothered me so i decided not to do anything about them.
well things are slowing down with the edit at the moment. I'm concentrating on the trailer and building the new sets and models but funds have now totally dried up and i still have only half the materials needed to make all this stuff. i still haven't been able to get the finemolds falcon and then there's the styrene, fibre glass and resin amongst other stuff needed. i get some bloody stupid ideas and building all these things i think could well be one of them. But at the end of the day it will be something that enhances ESB:R
so i had an idea as a little incentive for anyone that was thinking of donating: anyone that donates between now and 14th may will get to view the completed trailer a week before its release date along with a brand new clip that will not be seen until the edit is released.
