As the falcon heading to do the flip it should be penetrate the cloud so it gives the right depth in the shot. Otherwise we see it ro become smaller to a static image.

Same goes with leaving Bespin. I like the idea of them hearding the Falcon with multiple ties. It would make the fact that the Falcon ends up 3 feet from that one Destroyer make a lot more sense. ALOT more. Then R2 fixes the hyperdrive and away they go.
As far as the Falcon going up AND forward after the HD is activated....well, no that doesnt make any sense but Im so used to that scene doing that...I think it should be left alone.

I agree with the addition of more tie fighters in any scene. I always wondering why massive class starships like Stardestroyers are pursuit a small ship like MF. There arent smaller capital ships in the fleet? Pity that Tie fighters are short range fighters and cant spread accross the galaxy...

It's been a few days. I've been reading, but since I can't yet comment from my iPod I've been silent. The most recent thing seems to be the Falcon flying up and out when the finally go to lightspeed. I've always liked this. I think its like they program the computer where they want to go, and it automatically points them in the right direction instead of just going really fast straight forward. It also helps explain why everyone falls over and R2 rolls back into the hole when no one really seems to notice when they just go to lightspeed when they're already pointing in the right direction.
Just my thoughts.

Exactly, the hyperdrive navicomputer kicks in when R2 fixes the hyperdrive, you get the lurch upwards and forwards.

EXCELLENT POINT! space is three dimensional boys and girls. so the Falcon is going to the jump coordinates which are "above" them relative to thier postion.

I agree, I think some of Vaderios' mockups should be menus on the DVD. This one, the shot of Veers standing alone, just subtle movements added or something. It'd be awesome.

I for once agree.
I'm not for adding things just for the sake of it, but the mock up looks just too good. As long as the sound was done right....all quiet, cloud cars zooming past and a lone whistle from R2, would be all you needed.

Absolutely! :) Maybe they won't make it into the movie itself, but since vaderios is saving them as high quality/hi-res images, they could be neat as a menu image.
Or at the very least, maybe a 'Fan Mock-Ups' DVD-ROM folder could be included? I'd love to be able to have them all together and show them to family and friends. :) We never had anything nearly to this extent for ANH:R (cuz vaderios wasn't around then? heh), and the mock-ups have been a ton of fun!

Been catching up here in the forum.
I like the MF banking up and going to lightspeed. It just gives it a better sense of suddeness and speed.
I like Vaderios am always in favor of more Tie fighters. I'd also like to sse more snow troopers in the hoth battle scene too. The only reason there was never more in the original was cost, time and technology.
I definetly agree that a "making of" folder be put on the DVD with all the mockup, but only if there is room. The idea of some of the mockups being menu backgrounds is awesome. I'd love to see the luke one, and the piett one with perhaps ady's face put on instead? hahaha j/k.

My 2 cents:
- leave the shot of the MF going to lightspeed as is. As has been stated, it not only matches the actors' reactions, it also looks better visually and makes sense logically (i.e., altering course to coincide with coordinates from the nav computer)
- I like Angel's touched up shot of Vader in his mediation chamber... outfit looks correct and simply more "Vader-ish". However, as Ady pointed out, probably not possible to do as he rotates in his chair. If that shot can't be done, then the whole scene should stay as is
- I like the idea of using some of these extraneous shots as DVD menus if there's no suitable place for them in the film itself

I too agree that Vaderios still shots could be used as dvd menus. I especially like the one with Luke's X-wing fighter.

Hi guys, I've been away like forever and I'm sorry, I was just catching up on ESB-R and came upon this! I know Ady won't be using it and someone said it could be used in the menu screen (great idea to avoid throwing a GREAT matte btw) but I must ask, where did you get a 1080 pic like that? even for wallpaper-ing purposes this is just stunning!!!!

You are taking your skills to the next level.....and really have not "changed" much so far from your samples.....you are really enhancing the experience. Us true fans could never thank you enough. Regardless of if they get used, it would be cool to see these come to life. Maybe make the lights blink, a subtle cloud motion? An almost imperceptible ship flies by in the distance? I'd just put that on my screen and pretned it's a magic painting!
