For another edit, that would be interesting, but inserting music that wasn't present in the original release is not what Revisited is about. (Yes, I'm aware that ANH:R had the Prequel music briefly, bit I think Ady now considers this a misstep - which is reflected in his plans for the HD version).

I am not disputing any decisions about music. But deleted score is totally different to adding prequel music. I can't see any downfalls if the right choices are made and since i heard the deleted score when i get some spare time i am going to start a thread about it and do some demo's because kershner although mostly right went a bit too far with the audio cuts to score. But he did a great job on the most part but theres "moments" that should not have been lost.

And some of those "moments" you might struggle to tell the difference

All those... "moments" will be lost in time. Like (choke) tears... in... rain.

If there are any worthwhile scores cut from ESB (Or anything from the OT in general), perhaps they could be salvaged and seamlessly inserted in the Prequels:R.

I really like this idea. If it is unused in the OT originally, then it's a great way to blend the feel of the two trilogies together more, musically.

Again, that's not what Revisited is about. Any music not in the theatres in 1980 isn't going to appear, from what I've gathered about Ady's intentions. I wasn't comparing it to Prequel music, I was simply pointing out what some might see as a hole in my reasoning. Unless Ady has plans for an alternative audio track accessible from the menu via an 'expanded score' option, I think you're barking up the wrong edit.

but this isn't a pure edit - this is a special edition sort of, and so a change in music, not meaning putting PT into OT, if it fits the call would be welcomed ...

not sure if flow of scene is broken or will be not even noticed - but why not try and see outcome ?

I'm purely basing this on what Ady's previously said with regard to changes to Empire. The original music wasn't cut that way by accident. I don't think he'll go for it, but you never know he might prove me wrong.....

well the workprint review mentioned restored score from this year but that does not mean that will be any because it is a wip. But it sureley has been considered but perhaps a decision was made to not put any back... And i can understand that as much of the deleted score is a bit overdone or over the top. It needs quite a bit of taming and chopping out chunks so as to compliment and not interfere.

That's so awesome, congratulations to the winners!

So, were there at least 5 entries towards the Snow Speeder model? ;)

Unless I am mistaken, he hadn't got all of the five more entires needed for the new clip, it would've been up last night otherwise.

I like the "old school" draw method ;-)

The 1st prize winner has first pick of the prize selection and the 2nd prize winner has 2nd choice.

I think they got to choose from the Shield Generator, Dagobah swamp, a section of the asteroid canyon, and an action figure scale rebel turret gun.

ah I see so it all depends on what s.wade picks... This could be quite an easy choice or a tough one.

I thought you noted you were taking off a year after ESB:R-but it looks like you're not wasting anytime jumping right into ROTJ:R.

That's been happening?  I mean I've noticed the site goes down often-ish but it never occurred to me that it might be happening when somebody was writing a response.  =(  That sucks, Adywan.  Hope the issues get fixed soon.

It's happened to me enough times to really get on my nerves. Now I try to remember to copy a post before I try to submit it so that if the site crashes, I won't have to type it out all over again.
