Is it just me or has Adywan sculpted a c*ck and B*lls into the lower left rock face?
Probably just me...
VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Ah s*** jeez now we're going to get eight pages about how in the original edition the left nut was bigger but you could only see 40% of it because of the bad matte painting but that was ok because it is after all a defect of GOUT. It was however a blue ball and should have been grey and the explosion aka money shot was too big because it was really supposed to be used for the death star blowing up and not a TIE fighter.

Kind of a stretch. *shrug*
Woah, the asteroid canyon is looking great Ady!

Terrific work on the 'canyon' miniature so far. This is one of the poorer original effects scenes which I'm most looking forward to seeing improved.

Well this has always been about the explosion in the crevice... trying to improve it
I did not see it on the list but Luke has a chip in one of his helmet emblems. However it comes and goes:
You can see the chipped emblem while in the T-47.

I admit in some of these images, the lighting is not apparent but I think I made some sort of point about the inconsistency. Just thought I would point it out.
Keep up the great work.
Canyon walls look great! I am amazed at the amount of work and attention to detail that are continuously invested into this project!
@ Mara Jade's Father:
Now that you bring it up, the scratches on the helmet emblems are all across the board. I would guess that they had 20 or more props of beat-up helmets made, and Mark was handed one for each scene. However, it appears that they didn't keep track of which one he was using or didn't have the same one at each shooting location. I'm not sure of an easy fix, but if someone wanted to make it more consistent, an option would be to color all of them in red. It's not as moving as seeing one that's been beaten up over the course of Luke's many battles against the Empire, but it helps solve the issue you addressed. Other thoughts (beyond that we all now try to ignore it when we watch the film)?

I think the easy fix would be to just fill it in. In A New Hope, Luke's helmet goes through changes as well in details such as the black border around the logo.
However the chip has been bothering me ever since eFx made The Empire Strikes Back version of Luke's helmet and included the chip. But as you can see, most of the scenes do not have the chip. So now I can't un-see it. I just figured I would mention it since plans listed included correcting chest box details.

Welcome aboard Mara Jade's Father. I enjoyed your first posts here, and see that you're gonna fit right in!
Non-matching 'scuffs' on helmets, eh? Can't say I've ever been niggled by that.
I don't know if adywan (or indeed *any* of us) quite anticipated the varied amount of little things that would be brought up on this thread or not...but as someone who has owned up to being a little distracted by certain details on 'ESB' over the years that may or may not have troubled others too, I salute you.
You've made me seem somewhat reasonable! :)
"it's huge! Thanks, as always, for all your hard work."

"this has always been about the explosion in the crevice"
At the top of the left canyon wall, far side, is it a skull I see?
If it was on purpose, awesome! If it was a Bob Ross-like happy accident, even better!
After all this time working on the Edit, I just can't quite believe how you can keep going and going without yelling and saying "The hell with it!"
Amazing job Ady, just amazing.

Hey it's SW so its worth the time and effort. Particularly ESB. Best film in the saga in many people's opinion.
Cool canyon btw Ady.
Exactly DF,
Seeing the canyon started makes you wonder if the hanger miniature and Han in carbonite are now "signed off" complete.
Anyway it's good to see things getting close to very end of the listed changes miniatures... Wondering about the surprises too.
Good work on the canyon..... looks great :)
Uber detail there MJF cool spot

don't forget the Dagobah swamp trees ;-)
