It's a massive improvement on the original DVD shot in terms of how it sits.
And the fact that Ady will have a 720p version of it means that he can get even closer with his rotoscoping, and have more years of experience doing it.Bingowings said:

While technically/scientifically you are right, I think this was done for the visual aspect of establishing the speed of the spacecraft. STAR WARS (fantasy film or not) is primarily about pulling one in emotionally through the visuals.. hence the star field spinning when the Falcon jumps to hyperspace. Scientifically it would mean the Star Destroyer crew would see the Falcon corkscrew away, which would look quite silly from their perspective. From OURS though, it gives a sense of vertigo (like those tunnels in the fun houses on Halloween), which is the visual/emotional point of its use.

Oh I agree that that's why it's done, but I don't think it adds anything in the case of the fighters. And it's not consistent anyway, so maybe they couldn't make up their minds. It's not the scientific part about it that bugs me at all, it just looks funny once you think about it. Or once I think about it, anyway.

At 5:35 is the first one. Dead stormtrooper lying on deck. Its the thrid shot we see of troopers on that bridge and at 5:57 we see him again on the tenth shot. He doesn't get killed until 6:10

Since you are the almighty knitpicker and such a bad arse at spewing out negative comments on whats wrong with the movie, why don't you try to show us how things can be better by doing it yer self eh?!
Remember this is still a "fan edit" and Adywan learned how to do it all as he went along, I have to be honest and say I am rather impressed at how much he learned, he editet the movie with such grace that many that have found it ( me amongst them ) now use as a 1st choice instead when is comes to the Lucas or Adywan dvd.
Sure you might sit up there on your high and might chair and get all the "Aohs" and "Aahs" from your little click of followers when you point out what you deem wrong or flawd, sure you hand out all these shiny and too perfect and somewhat odd placed ( story wise ) pictures that not always seem to fit in with Adywans vision for the movie(s). perhaos you should try to put your pictures into motion and then try to show us how good things can be!?
But...who then will "Ooh" and "Aah" ? At times it can almost seam like you are envious at the attention Adywan is getting from this edit, so you have to grab some of this fame for your self, you know if you have such a negative feel about this project you can try to make your own edit and flog that on the web to get groupies.
Get a band together and start your own project, see how that feels when the work start to mount up, how much it costs of time and money and how it feels when you have several annoying star wars fanboys yapping at your every move... I bet it starts to get bloody annoying and very old..very fast.
Adywan has surrounded himself with ppl he trusts and he gets good and honest advise back from them, he posts info and updates on the web out of generosity and I think its awesome. Then the least one could do is to back him up on a positive note instead of bragging how about your own work and knitpick a 1 second frame to death...
You ain't supposed to go through the film frame by frame and just try as hard as you can to find flaws, thats just oddly wrong. o.0

This one I like the best. I like how it mixes the "Battle of Heros" at the beginning with the classic ANH theme at the end, this one feels the most fitting in ANH IMO.

This one works quite well too, it uses music from the ESB Hoth battle, I feel the timing is better at the end than the previous one. But I feel like by having the music in ANH takes emphasis away from it being in ESB so IDK.

This one is kind of the opposite of the first one in that it starts with the classic ANH theme, and finishes with the "Battle of Heros" theme. This one is my least favorite. It is too much of a rehash of the music we just heard of Luke and Leia in the chasm right before that.
To be fair if he does see something I can't see anything wrong with bringing it to Ady's attention, it's up to Ady if he wants to bear it in mind when re-does the thing and while not every person with English as a second language comes across as abrupt, the translation process can throw up oddities which may vary according to language skills and be specific to the language that's being translated from.
I'm not saying that's what is happening here it's just a possibility that may be worth considering.
I think I identified the item he is referring to in my previous post and if Ady is doing the whole thing from scratch and it was a slight oversight back then (understandable with the shear volume of work he did on this project the first time round) it's highly likely not to be in the HD version.
It doesn't take away in any significant way the massive improvement of the scene but Ady himself is a perfectionist and I'm sure if there was something like that (if it is an oversight) and it was pointed out at the time he would have been grateful to have had the chance to fix it before presenting the final version.

I really like this one. I feel like the music fits it very well, which actually surprises me because I was always one of those people who thought that this particular scene sounded best left alone. Whoever cut this together did a nice job.
