Here's a link to the ROTS soundtrack. There is a free sample of Battle of the Heroes there.

I'm think he's looking for Hyperspace, not Battle of the Heroes.

I can't say I've ever heard that tune. Could you share a link to it?
If Frink is right saying it's about Hyperspace, I've just added it as new sample in the ESB score restoration thread then: Post #6.
JediTray sig says:
The "Kiss My Ass List" has increased by two! Welcome, Frink and none!
Considering what it's about I wouldn't bet your "Kick My Ass List" hasn't increased in the same time. Better watch out that one. ;)
I still can't understand you A B C, but your mastering skills make up for it. ;)
How do i watch this amazing edit movie?

PM me if you still can't find it.
I've been looking for the purist edition, and I found it at Teh Paradox; however part14 of the .rars are missing (I saw this mentioned earlier in this thread as well).. do any of you know where I might find the missing .rar or the entire purist edition?
part14 is there in the tehparadox download. Check the rars you downloaded and you will see one with a different name. Unpack that one into the same folder with all the other rars as it contains part14
Oh would you look at that! How silly of me, must have missed that one when I copied the links to JDownloader. Thanks a bunch! This is going to be great!
Question: Why did you add a third moon to Tatooine?
The only reference I can find to a third moon is in AotC:
Wouldn't it have been easier to erase the moon from AotC, or was there another reason?
Get to it when you can.

Hey everybody. Just discovered this forum and project, and pretty excited to see the fruit of your labor, Adywan. I've been spending a few days lurking, reading through the many pages of this thread to accumulate all the relevant info and I seem to have arrived at a basic premise regarding video quality & number of edits:
Xvid < DVD-5 < DVD-9
Is that essentially correct? I have the Xvid, but am in the process of downloading the DVD-9 version and will definitely hold off on the Xvid if the above is true.
Second, have a couple quick questions about resolution. 1) Is your version the same resolution as the 2004 DVD source material? 2) And while it seems clear no high def remake will ever happen with the original movies, I assume Lucas is going to give the special editions the Blu-ray treatment - if that happens, do you think you'd want to make another Revisited edit, or just leave it alone at that point?
Thanks and looking forward to this.
Here are the answers you seek:
You are correct in your assumption on quality. Not only is this true with Revisited, but extra true, in that the DVD9 is the final draft with bonus features, the DVD5 is missing one or two things and has no bonus features, and the Xvid has several changes that weren't done or even changed again.
I believe that all DVDs are the same resolution, its the compression on them. The DVD5 has little compression, the DVD9 I think matches quality-wise with the official DVD.
While the Blu-ray is coming out, the 1080p videos are already available from broadcasts in Europe, but they came too late for ANHR to be done in HD. Ady has stated in the past that he is not interested in Revisiting Revisited and that many changes could only be done in SD. This is not the case with ESBR, which will be 720p since his computer could only handle that much, and the rest of the saga are already slated to be done in full 1080p as he has a new computer.

I have the 5 and the 9. They both have bonus features, the 9 just has more bonus features.
My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.
Yep, I have them both too and that's right.
Thanks guys.

ok, I saw it once, but now can no longer find it....can anyone point the way to the step by step instructions to burning the DVD-9 onto a disc so that I can chuck out my old 2004 DVD.....
...and any tips, pointers, or suggestions would be appreciated as well
Thanks for all the info doubleofive. Unfortunate about the 1080p versions arriving a little too late, but what can you do. By the way - are you sure the broadcasts were 1080p and not 1080i? I didn't think anything was broadcasting at 1080p yet, but I'm not really aware of what's going on with European stations.
Either way I'm sure the current ANH: Revisited is fine at its normal DVD resolution and I'm excited to check it out this weekend. I skimmed through the Xvid just to get an idea of what it looks like and was extremely impressed. I am one of those guys who did not like any of the additional CG put into the 97 release, but in Adywan's version it looks a lot more tasteful and blends in better. I have to echo the sentiments of the other folks here who said that Adywan should've done the special editions to begin with!
Well, the 1080i thing doesn't really matter when you're dealing with something that was shot at 24fps, as all you have to do is undo the pulldown to bring it to true 1080p.
At least, that's how it works with 480i/480p, so I assume that's how it works with 1080i/1080p.
Watched this last night. Adywan, you did a fantastic job and it truly was like seeing Star Wars for the first time with all the technical improvemnts you implemented. Absolutely loved the new sound mix. Here's the main things that struck me:
1. Pacing. Maybe it's just because I haven't seen ANH in so long, but this version seems a lot faster paced to me, even with the longer running time. I do miss some of the understated tension in the original, but the impact in this version is very strong, it feels more modern.
2. Tie fighters. Love the additions in the battle sequences! That looks like it took a ton of work. Great job.
3. Lasers. They look great, they did not seem out of place at all compared to the lasters in the original movie. I think people are just too used to that original Star Wars look because at the time it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
4. Additional music. It all fit in seamlessly and definitely gives it more of a thematic tie-in with the rest of the movies, but one thing I remember about ANH was the occasionally drawn out, tense filmmaking - without music - so I can certainly see why there is a purist version. I think both approaches are good in their own ways.
The only thing I was not a fan of was the inclusion of the SE CG footage in Mos Eisley, though I knew going into this that Revisited was based on the SE so it's not a complaint or anything. Still, I would love if there was a "Purer" Purist version, with no SE CG sequences, edited a little differently to still have continuity in those travel scenes. I know this would mean lifting footage from the original cut and all the extra work required to clean up those frames to match the SE frames, but that to me would be the ultimate fan edit.
In summary: amazing work, I can't wait to share this with friends and family who grew up with the original and get their feedback.

Yeah, I had hope just a little bit more of that would be dropped....mostly just the opening Mos Eisley shot with the scurriers, and the frog-ish hookah smoking alien thing and the elephant lookin alien that replaced the wolf man. I was fine with the rest of the CG
The only SE CG parts I like in the film is the Falcon powering up & the sandcrawler.
The rest just stands out and ruins the film for me.
Edit: The GOUT footage of Mos Eisley is poor also, so I can see why George attempted to improve it, but instead made it worse.
If anyone has any ideas how they would like to see it changed, go to:
