Activated torrent and JDownloader simultaneously. JD finished after 2d 6h while I had to nurse it sometimes. Torrent will need 3d I guess but delivers a more constant data rate while JD has a lot of peaks and waiting time.

What I noticed in torrent regarding the PAL-iso: I have two different torrents containing the iso-file: One did never finish (69%) and contains 3962 pieces while the newer and complete one contains 15849 pieces.

Piece sizes can be changed per torrent. The torrent I created has a small piece size (512KB) to allow for greater reliability of data with poor connections.

Personally, I find torrents to be more reliable and friendly than CrapidShare. While downloading my original copy, JDownloader/Crapidshare ended up discarding a total of about 800-1200MB of correct data due to intermittent connection drop-outs (I would have got similar results from a torrent with a 200MB piece size).

Hi All,
I have a please to you and to Adywan.
And while I'm looking for this cut: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBAZGtBfcY4
The destruction of Alderaan by Bail & JarJar etc.
But in HD 25fps 720x576
Is there somewhere to download the find, only on the tube ....
I needed to for my "Revisited" EP IV German edition.
Since I as mentioned, would translate from the EP IV Adywan in German including Jabba Cut etc.
This scene stop missing, so I would very much like them!
Hoping for your help!
Greeting ZeN

That's on the DVD-9 versions, not DVD-5 version.  See what size you downloaded.

I'm currently downloading the DVD9 PAL version via torrent, I know that there were some missing files with the usenet release, are these fixed with the complete iso I'm downloading?

EDIT; What exactly is the difference between the Revisited and Purist DVD9, I mean, which custom scenes have been excised from the Purist Edition? And is the Purist Edition also colour-corrected and have the FX been updated (lightsabers, Millenium Falcon's engines, etc...)?

Also, is there a DVD9 PAL Purist Edition? I can't find one anywhere :(

You'll notice the Purist is only available on DVD-5.

Okay, thanks, but can anyone tell me if the full iso version on torrent sites has the fix incorporated? There were apparently some problems with missing files when it was released, and I just want to make sure I've got a complete version before I burn it to DVD.

Thank you for the answers and links .....
Yea, I have the DVD version ...... 5 download the 9 version that clearly takes too long.
The time now is somewhat annoying, but I want only the 30sec.Cut and has just under 8GB to download .... That can not be ...... is a real shame ..

If it were in German, I might have done it, but so ....

If you are downloading the PAL DVD-9 in ISO format then there is no fix for that and there is no problem with the original ISO. Only the NTSC that was put up to some torrent sites needed a fix and a separate small fix for the layer break problem with some burning software

Okay thanks :)

Anyway, I'm thinking about getting a 14-day free trial at Giganews because you can download 10GB so that I can download the DVD9 from this alt.binaries.starwars thingie.

But it says that some files in this collection are incomplete, so can I still download the PAL DVD9 from alt.binaries.starwars or not?

I've never used usenet so I'm not familiar with it.

Cheers

EDIT: I've seen Adywan mention something called Quickpar, can this fix things if a collection has incomplete files?

DOUBLE EDIT: Does anyone know if the PAL DVD9 is available on rapidshare or some other site?

Yes, I do know. It's not difficult to find, but if you're already getting it by torrent, why do you want to download by the less convenient, less fault-resistant, more annoying Crapidshare service?

RS is good for finding those edits that have dropped off the trnt radar or were never picked up by it.

I recently lost pretty much my entire fan-edit collection due to my overly eager lab assistant Miss Sakamoto tidying up my tubes and wires and careful notes and it's come in very handy for that.

Bingo has a slave girl?? I bet you make her wear a metal bikini in the lab aswell for a uniform.

She could have done a lot worse though i guess ;-)

Slave girl? Girl?

Speaking as a known scientist I wouldn't be surprised if bejeweled metallic beach-ware were breeding grounds for unwelcome contaminants.

I don't believe it, there she goes again, she's tidied up and I can't find anything!

What causes this thing? Must do research, Miss Sakamoto!

Thanks for cleaning those up guys.

You should be able to get a research grant for that.

Can someone either send me the rapidshare link for the NTSC DL DVD or explain to me via PM how fanedit.info's download's work? I lost my old copy of Revisited

All I can say is I had to restore my copy the other day (I thought it had been spared the great Bingowings fan-edit collection purge but it hadn't). It returned perfectly well for me (in fact it was one of the few that I didn't have to ask questions about). As you are having problems I suggest (if you haven't already done so) that you join their forum and post your problem over there. I've found them to be a very helpful bunch and when there was a problem with the Slumberland edit RS directory they looked into it and corrected it very quickly.

As with most downloads, you receive a DLC that you use with Jdownloader or whatever download manager you use.

All right thanks. I realized that I had to extract the rar first and then import it into jdownloader. For some reason STuffit Expander wasn't extracting it and I just had to get a different rar extractor. I'm used to torrents but I got a 30 day rapidshare trial for some other edits. Its working now.

Wow Ive just finished downloading the DVD-9 version and watched it. The best movie ever just got better.

One thing I did notice was previously I downloaded the .avi version and there was 1 thing that wasn't fixed in that which is in the DVD-9 version. I actually PM'd Adywan about it to say he should fix it but in the DVD-9 version it has been done. I'm referring to the model mount which is visible on the back of Red Leaders X-Wing as Darth Vader is chasing him. On the .avi version its still there but in the DVD-9 version its fixed.

Thank you very much for doing this fan edit.

There were a few releases of SW:R.  The AVI was kind of the "beta" version, where the DVD-5 and -9 were final releases.  There's also the Purist edition floating around out there.
