Yeah, i'm looking for a DVD-9 too, preferably PAL! cant seem to find it on the Torrent sites...
Absolutely. This one has really raised the bar in terms of quality for fan projects. The stuff I've seen from Empire is looking even better.

It's easy to get the NTSC version, but I have no idea where the PAL one is online. :p SL, yes, but not DL.
If anyone knows, please let me know, too. I don't need it myself, but I've had to say "I don't know where it is" to several people now.
EDITED: Misunderstanding on my part. Disregard...

Hmm...
Thanks anyway... :)
For now, I would just say to hope that a UK member sees this and is willing to send you a copy. Not a great answer, I know, but I can't remember ever seeing the PAL DVD-9 online. :p
i sent out a couple of copies of the PAL DVD-9 a while ago to people who said that they would torrent it and one said he would upload it to rapidshare but as soon as i had sent them they stopped replying to my emails and didn't even have the decency to thank me and let me know they received them.
Its annoying to me, coming from PAL land myself, that the PAL DVD-9 version seems to have disappeared into obscurity. once it was posted to usenet it just vanished. I'll see what i can do to get this thing out there
I'm sure it'd be appreciated by nigh-innumerable hungry fans over in PAL-land; trying to find the PAL DVD9 online is a little like searching for a needle in a haystack.
Very frustrating to hear about so-called fans who promise to upload and then disappear once they get the goods. It's those kind of people who give online communities like this a bad name.

Hi all,
Ady, I'm pretty sure I sent you an e-mail of thanks when I got the ANH:R PAL DVD-9 version from you (I sent you the blank disks). If I didn't I apologize profusely!!
I've been away from home most of the time since receiving them, but I'm finally getting some time to myself this weekend, so plan to see about putting the result up on Usenet.
Never tried to create a Torrent before, but, if I succeed, I'll see about putting it up on Mininova ... OK?
Not at all sure about Rapidshare though ... do I need a user account to do it?
... then I need to see about how much upload my ISP allows !!!
Watch this space guys and gals.

no, it wasn't aimed at you cjtc. these discs i sent out a while before yours which is why i had no DL discs left. I did receive your email and i appreciate the fact that you took time out to let me know you got the discs which many never bothered.
I might try contacting boon to see how to get this up on rapidshare
Seems like a lot is getting done in a short amount of time. This will help a lot of people! :) I might even have to get it myself. I've actually copied the NTSC DVD-9 at least 8 or 9 times, I'd say. I think one may have even been sent to the UK! Haha.
Aye. If this goes up, I'll snag a copy just for preservation and distribution purposes...

OK, it's up on Mininova "Movies->Sci-Fi->STAR WARS REVISITED PAL DVD-9
... and I'm seeding it now.
It's the first time I've created a torrent, so please let me know if there's anything wrong ;-)
Damn cjtc, that was fast! I'm downloading now, I'll try and seed ASAP.
Its about time us UK fans had a chance to see ANH:R in all it's DVD-9 glory. Thank-you cjtc, and of course our main man, Adywan*
(*Hey, that rhymes! :P)

Im just checking our files match, and if i can work it out i'll jump on and help you seed this when i can.
EDIT: Crapola! How do I go about creating an ISO image of my VIDEO_TS folders, and so on?
Ady, i dont think i emailed you when i got my copy from you (im not sure if its including me as i didnt get any emails from you), but i did thank you in this thread, and forwarded a number of copys to others here, for which i never got a thanks either.

no, i wants refering to you either. this was a few copies i sent to people who contacted me saying they could torrent it and upload to rapidshare. They were people who joined the site, made the offer, got the discs then disappeared. trsut me this won't be happening when ESB:R is finished.
OK, the torrent is up there and I'm seeding. It's gonna take a while though guys - my internet connection is going full tilt. Thank heaven I don't have an upload limit.

Yeah, i can see you. I'll jump on and help you seed this when i educate myself on a few things.
How did you go about creating your ISO image of the VIDEO_TS folders, and so on?
Ive just been messing around with nero but its an older edition and im not sure if any of the free ISO creators on the interwebz will give me an identical file as yours. Then i have to fathom out how to join you as a seeder using azuerus.
Together we should get this thing out a lot faster, and take all of the strain off you.
EDIT: Ha, 8 seeders already i see.

I used imgburn from http://www.imgburn.com Handy little, free program. Will create the ISO and MDS files.
You then have to download the .torrent file, add it to Azureus and point the file location at the files you've just created with imgburn. They do need to be named identically to those specified in the torrent file. Start the torrent off and Azureus should see it as complete and start seeding. Of course, the files need to be identical to mine, or the hash checking will fail.
.... at least, that's how I think it works ;-)
Again, great to see so much happening so fast! I guess it was right place, right time. :)
I'll have to grab it sometime and be able to offer people either version.
Erm, do i have files that you dont have on your disk going on the size of my convertion:
Yours is 7.7 GB????
Ive just tried two different ways of converting it with slightly different results, yet the same filesize each time i did it. I missing something somewhere. Do the rounding of the bytes add up to the same value of 7.7 GB im wonderin???
Its like the blind leading the blind here. Moth3r!!!
Oh dear. Looks like it. Maybe you have a very slightly different disk layout to me :-(
Ady, did you make any alterations with the PAL disks you sent out over time. JACKET_P folder, or disk art included later maybe?
