Got my ticket for Thursday night, the 15th.

I’m not typically a collector of things. I have a few baseball things from the 70s and a Star Wars lunch box, but that’s about it. Looks like I’ll get one of these though.

Hopefully they aren’t poisonous this time around.

It’ll look great on dislpay though.

That was so good I wish I hadn’t seen it. The bit at the end will be a guaranteed laugh at every viewing I go to.

The only “problem” I have with the clip is that it seems Jyn is a pretty capable combatant which means the premature Mary Sue claims will pop up again.

I made the foolish decision to look at the Youtube comments.

They already have, criticizing the fact that her comrade’s (If there’s one thing I’m bad at, it’s names) just staring while she kicks butt and how that’s a sign that feminism’s gone too far or something.

I honestly expected more.
These things are almost like memes. Eventually people will get bored off it and go and complain about something else silly. And when dealing with a franchise as big as SW there’s always going to be some overly paranoid and/or nitpicky thing for people to nag about. (I’m already dreading the reactions to the Han Solo film.)

People in other more general movie forums are already saying the Solo film is going to suck. It hasn’t even been shot first! (Yes, I went there.)

I thought that clip was great and I now am getting a sense of Felicty Jones character much more from that clip than any of the trailers. She is a good actress. And I liked the gag too 😃

Seeing quite a bit of cutting away from the actual action though and there looks like there is at least one shot that does not go in the sequence where she hit’s the storm trooper with the big gun in the head. So I’ll say this much there is some sort of missing shot’s there and part of it can be seen in one of the trailers.

The stormtroopers Cassien Bags are off screen too which is a bit of a shame.

What did I say about trims in the trailer!!! Weather that reflects the final edit though?

To be honest it seems that Felicty and Fallon were acting out part of the missing footage to tease us.

Another pinch of salt but very promising and enjoyable.

$10 says Han’s only going to fire a shot at the very end of the film, and before then every other character on screen will get to fire their shot first.

I can understand if somehow ALL of the other crew members (Droid excluded obviously) are inept and Jyn is the only competent one but we’ve already seen Magic Stick Man in action briefly along with the long haired guy who killed like Troopers in seconds so what the fuck?

I swear to God I hate people like this.

In fact, Alamo has a nice wine & beer selection, plus a full bar. For The Force Awakens they had some specialty cocktails. I had a Tatooine Sunset each time I went. I suspect they’ll do something similar this time.

Sometimes it’s ok for a female to be a badass. Some people obviously can’t get this through their heads. I don’t hear anyone complaining about what seems to be a scene of Donny Yen kicking serious ass with a stick.

I’ve taken Frink’s advice to heart and stopped reading YouTube comment sections altogether.

They don’t feel their masculinity is threatened when it’s another man showing strength. The fans who are so bothered by Rey and Jyn have issues that exist outside of whenever they’re sitting in a movie theater.

It’s clear they’re feeling threatened at this point because they haven’t seen the film. They’re already trying to diminish her importance by using a derogatory term to describe her. It’s not just her specifically, it’s the idea of her.

Apparently 2 Characters from The Phantom Menace will be in Rogue one.

Frink might get his wish?

I bet one of them is Qui-Gon jinn.

I hope it’s not Maul unless it’s a long time ago flash back to prior The Phantom Menace.

Apparently it might break teh interwebs 😃

It’s from Rumours so nothing concrete, but a lot of rumours have turned out to be true. Not winding you up. It’s mentioned on Making Star Wars latest interview with Gareth Edwards regarding possible Cameo’s in France.

There is much more hints at more OT characters returning. And a new range of Rogue one toy lines back some of these up. And they are of little surprise.

But it’s weird this has been brought up alongside teasing OT characters almost a bit devisive.

Qui-gon makes complete sense.

“There were a lot of rumors in the last year or so that the prequels are off the table, but we’ve already heard of two other potential Phantom Menace characters showing up in this movie. If that pans out, it’s going to break the internet. We’ll see.”

Someone must sense Jyn is in trouble when she is a little girl, and sends Saw to rescue her, or something like that.

Liam Neeson said 1 year ago

“I don’t know [how he would return], unless you went back in time or he becomes a hologram or something. He’s a Jedi, anything could happen. It’s Star Wars world!”

“Sometime during his life, Jinn began discovering the secrets to manifesting his consciousness after death.[7] He traveled to a planet strong with the Force, a world that legend said was the birthplace of life and the origin of midi-chlorians. There, he learned from five Force Priestesses who had retained their own consciousness after death.[8] He learned that, when a living thing died, its life passed through the Living Force and into the Cosmic Force to become one with the Force. As the Living Force and Cosmic Force existed in tandem, it became possible to retain one’s consciousness and physically manifest themselves after death. Jinn was considered worthy of the knowledge of eternal life, and secretly began his training to fully unlock its mysteries.[7] He also learned from a Shaman of the Whills that achieving eternal consciousness required absolute selflessness.[3]”

The other question I have had on my mind a bit is how does Saw Gerrera lose his leg… So there you go I think that may have something to do with it also.

Well even then I saw people prematurely stating he was Force Sensitive and how that is going to ruin the movie. I haven’t heard/seen this complaint too much since the first trailer but still.

People are going to be surprised by who the Force sensitive character is in this film.

I have already heard who it is. I was very nervous about who it would be but I’m actually pretty relieved.

It’s Ric? Fantastic!

Jokes aside, the three characters from TPM that would “break the Internet” are QGJ, Jar Jar and Maul. Referencing TPM and not the entire PT makes it seem like those characters were featured more in that film.

That hooded character in the 1st trailer still has me puzzled. Based on Maul’s current Rebels storyline, I could see him actually making it to the DS but being that big a part of the story would take over the narrative.

As far as Leia and the droids, I could see the droids being with Bail on Yavin midway through film and he sends them to meet with Leia, who we see on transmission at the end. Anything more from her would be distracting, in my opinion.

The Jedi are all but extinct.......

Considering I haven’t read the rest of the thread and don’t want to because of potential Catalyst spoilers I will so this before abandoning ship: if it’s Krennic I will lose my shit.
