Where were you in '77?
The cloaked figure is a clone of Anakin. He is kneeling in front of another clone of Anakin, only this one ages normally and will be the same age as the first Anakin clone by episode VIII. It’s Sheev’s plan to get the apprentice he intended to have back, and Disney’s plan to rework bad EU writing into okay canonical writing.

At the end, the Rebels get the plans of the secret weapon and deliver them to Leia. The entire rebel squadron dies during the events.

I hope, with Edwards in the helm, this will be a tasteful and subdued entry in the franchise. Hopefully, though, the characters will not be as uninteresting as in his Godzilla.

I’m seeing some buzz that Ben Mendelssohn’s officer character may in fact be the old EU’s Armand Isard, who was re-canonized by the Tarkin novel. Someone connected to Lucasfilm (I forget exactly who) hinted that we may have seen him before on Twitter yesterday.

His outfit sure looks cool (we have never seen Grand Admiral before in live action). The actor has an interesting “Cushing-like” face. Could be a good vilain for once.
I do like how the old EU is being borrowed from, like there were alot of good ideas.

That cylinder looks like a bacta tank.
Maybe Vader or the Emperor have bacta dip every once in a while to maintain their distorted or charred flesh.

Yeah that tube seems like the old original concept for the hologram tube on Vaders Star destroyer but I doubt it is a hologram tube now.
