@MalàStrana I thought he meant “stands out” as in looks out of place.
I actually disagree that every single effects shot was improved for RoTJ SE versions. They left most of them alone compared to the other two films, because many of them (such as in the final space battle) looked great in 1983. Compared to ANH, where they updated almost all of the battle of yavin with either CGI or recompositing.
At best, all they will do for the Sarlacc is rescan the same garbage they already made. I really doubt they’re going to make new CGI for it.
And yes, if you’ve seen the blu-ray you’ll notice that it seems to go out of focus for a long stretch of the movie as they approach Endor, and then the early scenes on the surface. It’s totally unacceptable for a professional mastering. It’s not just a few shots, those are Harmy’s examples, it’s a few whole scenes.
