That one where they skii down a mountain.
It can be any genre EXCEPT romance anything.
I really like war films and films like Fletch… I loved Fletch. So good.
Anything Chevy Chase, John Candy, and Kurt Russell
OH ALSO, I really liked blackadder series - so if anyone could also recommend a series similar to that, that’d be great.
Anyways, I’ll appreciate any suggestions
Thanks in advance
I am not lost. I know exactly where I am, I am in some shitty fucking hell, which is exactly what I deserve. But you… YOU are lost. All my life I thought that I needed you, that I couldn’t survive without you, fuck! Fuck! It was the other fucking way around. It was the other way around.

I might suggest:
The Breakfast Club
Canadian Bacon
Empire Strikes Back 😉
I was once…but now I’m not… Further: zyzzogeton

Tinto Brass’ The Key. I’m hesitant to call it his masterpiece, but it aint too far from it. Be sure to get the Arrow video release.
Caligula’expanded OST, V2 Released
The Shining’s complete OST
Ghidorah, The Tree-Headed Monster (English dub synched to Toho cut)
Terminator (1984). Predator (1987). Robocop (1987). First Blood (1982). Wrath of Khan (1982). Batman (1989). Good '80s stuff that came to mind.

Platoon, if you like war-related movies.
Escape from New York for Kurt Russell.
The Person in Question
Thanks for the suggestions so far, it’s funny one of you mention Platoon, I watched that last night. GREAT film, one of my favorites actually. ALSO, I saw Escape from L.A. on Netflix and am assuming Escape from New York is the first in the series? Would I need to watch Escape from New York to understand Escape from L.A. or are they non-related?
Dek Rollins, you had some very good suggestions also, I might have to search for First Blood again and the original Predator. Can’t say I’ve seen Wrath of Khan, though I’m a huge Star Trek series fan.
I googled Canadian Bacon, though its a 90’s film, it has John Candy in it so I might check it out
The Key, however, seems kinda’ romance-y or murder mystery with romance in there. I might save that one for another time
My Dinner with Andre seems pretty familiar, I’m going to look at that as well.
Thanks again

Well you DEFINITELY need to watch wrath of Kahn. It’s on netflix
I’ve not seen Escape from LA, but it is a 1990s sequel to Escape from New York. It also has Kurt Russell in it. I doubt you’d need Escape from New York to understand it, but I bet Escape from LA would have spoilers related to New York, so I’d recommended watching NY first.

Just about anything from 1984…

As far as I remember, First Blood and Rambo: First Blood Part II are both on Netflix. Not sure about Rambo III. Either way, the first one is the only good one IMO. And if at all possible, I would suggest getting a hold of the “Director’s Cut” DVD of Wrath of Khan, as I think the DC is better than the theatrical, and the current video transfer of the film is rather horrid (this is the one on Netflix).

I would also suggest Blade Runner, but deciding which version to watch could be terribly difficult 😉.

As for my own suggestion: Phenomena.

Wow. I haven’t seen that in ages.
K. Let’s have this ride.
I can’t push Time Bandits hard enough. Brilliant film. Almost splurged on the Criterion blu-ray the other day, I think I’ll probably go back for it in the near future.
Holy shit, so many awesome suggestions.
I’ve seen most of what has been suggested, however, Time Bandits seem to be one that I haven’t seen but should. I’m definitely going to add the ones I can to my netflix list and see if I can find the rest online somewhere to stream. I’m pretty cheap, haha.
@Neglify, I actually own most of the films you listed here or have watched them more than a few times. I have both the Sleepaway Camp series and Nightmare on Elm Street boxed sets. I really love horror films. Return of the living Dead… Horror but not. Stand By Me, I even read this novella. Jeez, so many good ones.
I think I’m going to attempt Blade Runner first since it popped up first on my Netflix queue.
Thanks again for all the great suggestions!

Be aware, the Blade Runner on Netflix is the US theatrical cut, which I think is the weakest of the ones I’ve seen (I haven’t gotten to the international cut or the work print yet). It’s still great, and I wouldn’t discourage you from watching it first since it’s sitting right there on Netflix, but I feel like I ought to mention the fact that I (and I’m sure plenty of other folks) prefer the final cut and (to a lesser extent) the director’s cut.
