The heat? Like 9 degrees Centigrade? You’re in Canada, man!

Ha! I wish that was the average summer temperature where I live!

Unfortunately, the average summer temperature around here is high 20s-mid 30s °C.

Dear ol’ ma doesn’t like sci-fi, fantasy, and supernatural horror because they’re unrealistic, yet wholeheartedly believes that all of mankind is descended from a single pair of humans created 6000 years ago and that Noah managed to fit two-to-seven of every land animal aboard a boat that sailed during a global flood.

I’ve been brainstorming some names for characters in the screenplay I’m writing, and I checked out one of those “Random Name Generators.” One of the names it suggested was Millard D. Rollins. Lol.

SONIC RACES THROUGH THE GREEN FIELDS.
THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.
THE WAYS OF HIS HEART ARE MUCH LIKE THE SUN. SONIC RUNS AND RESTS; THE SUN RISES AND SETS.
DON’T GIVE UP ON THE SUN. DON’T MAKE THE SUN LAUGH AT YOU.

It’s weird going onto WaybackMachine and checking out old OT.com posts from 2003. Everyone seems so nice, as opposed to the depressing, sarcastic and smart ass comments most people give today. I wish I was a member back then.

Around this section of the forum all you need to do is breathe for that, nothing familiar needed.

I haven’t smoked a cigarette since December of 2015 and alas I think my streak is at an end. I’ve been craving a cigarette for 2 solid months and after today I’m probably gonna give in.

Well, maybe, but I didn’t own a computer until I was nine, which may have limited me. Until then, I just savoured every moment with one of the Windows XP school computers (the sound effects give me great nostalgia now) or the computer at my Grandmothers (also Windows XP).

It’s hard for me to have nostalgia for Windows XP, thanks for making me feel old.

What is your position on cell phones? I see infants with them now, I expect you feel similar disdain there. Sorry if this is a weird or random question to ask, but it’s interesting to hear a parent’s perspective.

Still early for that as well.

It’s complicated for us because she has Asperger’s, so there’s an additional layer of uncertainty of how to both encourage her independence and protect her at the same time.
