Trying to catalogue all the realities in the Star Wars, Simpsons, and Rugrats multiverses is hard work.

Sex, I think??

It's what posh people have their groceries carried in.

I seem to remember enjoying it and never used it for either of those reasons.

Losing a beloved pet is hard Warbler, I've been there. Just cherish their memory. And the best thing to do is get a new one. :)

I would like another one, but other family members don't seem to want another one.   I plan on talking about it with them once enough time passes.    It is too soon to talk about it now.

Difficult to say really. Only you can really gauge their feelings. I suppose if the sense of loss is still raw, then leave it for a while. A new puppy is a fantastic way to refocus everyone's attention. But it's best to let the grieving process run its course.

the sense of loss is still raw, too raw to start talking about getting another dog.   Although we all knew it was coming soon,  it is still difficult.

But, am I the only one laughing at the unfortunate order that post fell on?

I don't get the joke.

Someone could try explaining that it wasn't a joke but an unfortunate juxtaposition of comments but it couldn't be me as I'm on Warb's ignore list.

Personally I find the best way to remember someone who has died is to just talk to them. Even if they are not human. I never hear a reply but sometimes feel like I got one. Irrational perhaps but comforting.

It wasn't a joke, Warb. Just an unfortunate juxtaposition of comments.

Sorry you lost a good friend, Warb.

I had to go back and look because I honestly didn't get it at first either, but it would appear that, as people were talking about things sex was good for, you happened to chime in saying you missed your dog.  I believe that's where the unintentional humor comes from.  But you have my sympathies as well.  My standard poodle, Dax, was not an addition to my life I planned on having and actually kinda got stuck with me through unusual circumstances, but, like any good buddy cop movie, by the end of the story, we're inseparable.  I can't imagine life without her now, so I'm very sorry your time with your dog has come to an end.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

The best way to mourn is however you need to.  Everyone can offer advice but everyone is different and only you know what works for you.  That goes for when to get a dog too, by the way.

Sorry about your dog Warb.

On an unrelated note: Don't put chocolate biscuits in your pocket and then forget.

Times a great healer Warbler, you'll be ok. Anyway, over the past year or so, I've become increasingly concerned at the way my hair has been thinning. I'm not necessarily vain (because I don't consider myself to be a good looking ignorant, islamaphobe lol) but I am beginning to slightly fret at the speed of which it is diminishing. I'm getting joking comments from work mates and friends, but I know it's just banter and I know I would do exactly the same. My father is as bald as a coot, so I guess it was inevitable but its still a bit of a shock to the system. My girlfriend says it doesn't bother her in the slightest, and I do believe her. But its starting to bother me. Anyone else suffered from this and able to give me some insight in how to cope?
