The idea that your future was robbed by Trump is like a parody of the most insane anti-Trump people.

Here’s a fact: all rich and/or conservative people are inherently evil, and want all poor people to die.

This kind of crap is why no one on this forum likes you.

It’s the truth.
They are all evil.

Not all conservatives and/or rich people are evil. Some are, some aren’t.

For one thing Trump and the Brexiteers aren’t conservative. They are reactionary. But they are all evil, every last one of them.

I would try to argue the point with you, but I think that would be pointless. Not all Conservatives are evil.

Trump isn’t conservative. A conservative wants to maintain what exists and only change as a matter of last resort. Trump wants to roll backwards to a mythical better time. He is a reactionary. He is evil. his supporters are evil. All of them.

I agree with most of this, but I take issue with all Trump supporters being evil. Some of his supporters are just not very informed. Some are desperate. Some are blinded by party loyalty (ironic since Trump is not Conservative, as you said). Some are evil.

Holy moly! I’m informed, not desperate, and have no party loyalty whatsoever. It’s absolutely crushing to be diagnosed as evil. Do I have full blown evil or just a touch of the evil??? Shoot me straight Frink how long have I got?!

I don’t know, how evil are you if you fall into the “I think other people’s misfortunes are funny” category?

You know I don’t Frink.

I do? You don’t?

YEAH THAT’S RIGHT YOU HEARD ME.

No, we need to be putting our resources towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly sources of energy (and not building a pipeline through sacred sites).

(link text is massively misleading)

Canadian authorities continued clean-up operations Tuesday after last week’s massive oil spill on an aboriginal reserve as crews began preparations to evacuate the site in order to determine the source of the leak, Saskatchewan officials said. The provincial government was informed Friday of a pipeline leaking about 200,000 liters (52,834 gallons) oil in the western Canadian region.

Reports said vacuum trucks were working on removing the contaminated oil that spilled onto a farmland at the Ocean Man First Nation, located about 87 miles from Regina, the provincial capital.

While the spill occurred far from residential areas, it was close to a cemetery considered sacred by the band. The leak is Saskatchewan’s second major incident in seven months, the first being a Husky Energy Inc pipeline spill that released 225,000 liters of oil into a major river, affecting drinking water supply to two cities.

That pipeline is not touching any sacred sites. The idiots who’ve been protesting it don’t even know what they’re talking about, and they trespassed on private property to do so.

And I suppose you don’t realize that oil is an important resource that is necessary despite it’s environmental affects. And I also suppose that you haven’t heard about the trouble the oil companies have been having without that pipeline.

Do some research.

Oil is still necessary. You can’t change that just by saying “We need cleaner energy!” That’s not how it works.

We need more efficient and more safe ways of obtaining and using oil, because it is still relevant. The pipeline will help that greatly.

Of course. We need to reduce dependence on oil.

I’m not sure why you think a pipeline will make oil safer.

Trump is already 1000% worse than Nixon. People just assume he was the worst president ever because he resigned in shame. Paranoid? Yes. Criminal? Little bit. Bad president? Not really.

Indeed, lest we forget how his second-term election went:

Nixon was doing pretty well four-years in. Trump is fucking up six days in. Saying Nixon was the worst president is stupid and I’m always for defending that.

Red States and Blue States are a relatively new concept that wasn’t cemented until the infamous 2000 election (up until the mid-90s, the three network news programs didn’t even agree on which party was what color). In the UK, it’s still the same thing, blue is for their conservative party and red is for their liberal party. It was changed here because Democrats didn’t like being compared to communists, to my understanding.

Do you know what would be nice? If he would put some thought into these things before doing them. Leaving aside whether or not you agree with his executive orders, he’s just throwing them all out there without any consultation or consideration for the effects, and no one knows what the hell is going on. Confusion and chaos.

Dek, I noticed you ignore this. You like the “what” that he’s doing, can you defend the “how?”

I didn’t ignore it. I just didn’t respond to it. I don’t have anything to say on that matter, because I have no way of knowing how he came to his decisions (unless he actually took the time to fully explain everything in an interview or something).

Well are we talking about Keystone?

From the pipeline permit: http://puc.sd.gov/commission/dockets/hydrocarbonpipeline/2009/hp09-001/application.pdf (pg.95)

Construction and operation of the Project can potentially affect NRHP eligible sites. These can include prehistoric or historic archaeological sites, districts, buildings, structures, objects, and locations with traditional cultural value to Native Americans or other groups. Project impacts can include: the physical disturbance during construction of archaeological sites located within the construction ROW; the demolition, removal, or alteration of historic or architecturally significant structures/features; and the introduction of visual or audible elements (e.g., pump stations) that can alter a site’s setting.

Or Dakota Access? Because that’s mostly about the environmental effects on the Standing Rock reservation. The matter of “is it a burial ground or not comes up” a lot, but I think I would refer to what the indigenous people are saying about that before the contractors.

“Archaeologists come in who are taught from a colonial structure, and they have the audacity to interpret how our people were buried. How would they even know?”

I am well aware of the current importance of oil and the trouble we’ve had. All the more reason we need to stop relying on it and start looking for more sustainable sources of energy.

Get off your high horse. It was land that was at one point occupied by native peoples of this continent, but not anymore, so it’s a moot point. If you feel so strongly about it why don’t you leave your house and move back to Europe.

I’ve thought about it.

Anyway, the thing is that the trespassing was just civil disobedience. The private property isn’t someone’s backyard or something, it’s owned by the oil company and is where the tribe considers ancestral land. If they weren’t protesting there, they wouldn’t be protesting at all. Saying the protesters were trespassing as if they were some hooligans so that negates the protest is missing the point entirely.

And I suppose you don’t realize that oil is an important resource that is necessary despite it’s environmental affects. And I also suppose that you haven’t heard about the trouble the oil companies have been having without that pipeline.

Yeah but it’s not like we’re in Mad Max right now and the pipeline is the only thing keeping our cars running. The sooner we move forward with other sources of energy, the better.
