Yes.
For the last nine years I have been enjoying Laserdiscs on the old Pioneer LD-660 (ca. 1983), which has RCA outputs only for stereo sound and three RF-style outputs. I've used the main Ch.3/4 RF output to stream the video signal through my VCR but was always curious about the "Video Out" and whether it offers better quality.
Below is a manual scan with the description and output boxed in red and a link to the manual itself. Thanks!

At least Ted Turner released the originals.
Yes.
Does it work with a standard RF input or does it require a particular adapter (the "video input terminal" text is somewhat confusing to me but I assume it has something to do with broadcast monitors)?

No clue what the output actually is, just that it should be better since it isn't video+audio together modulated onto a TV channel.
You could perhaps try one of these: http://www.amazon.com/RiteAV-Female-F-Type-Coax-Adapter/dp/B000V1O1LM
I'm guessing the video out will be a standard composite video signal, so connect to a yellow RCA video input and not an RF input.

Will try that RiteAV and see how it goes. Thanks!

It's like my old behemoth, once you have an adapter plug you'll be good to go. Radio Shack ought to still carry these if you don't want to buy online.
I never understood why early Pioneer players had 75ohm jacks for direct video output, as I never encountered any monitors with similar video inputs. I'm sure a lot of early adopters accidentally used the wrong jack on initial hookup. ;)
Where were you in '77?
I've received the part and although it was male and female on the wrong ends (female on RF and male on RCA) I was able to connect it with other parts I already had and it did the trick! Thanks for all the tips; I've never seen my LDs look this good.
