i really enjoyed the TPM & AOTC but the choices for Anikin...could have been much better...also Natalie Portman (although very good looking) does not fit into Star Wars very well...am I the only one who feels this way?

By far the best thing in the SE DVDs are the window shots in cloud City

This I liked as well because it was thoroughly non obtrusive to the flow of the movie. Not like putting Jabba and Boba Fett into ANH.

Yes you are. Natalie Portman was the best girl for the role. She is a rarity. She can act great and is downright gorgous. Shes my dream girl.

Carrie Fisher is Ok but Natalie Portman is gorgous.

here jimbo goes again shooting down others opinions cuz he thinks he's right...
do you think acting like the owner of this site and telling people how they're wrong is going to make people want to stay?

listen jimbo we all know you only use AOTC for tossing off material cuz of Nat Portman...
you've only mentioned her in your last three posts to nausiem...
i think she better file a restraining order against you bud...

DJR i agree that many people hated the ewoks but i also am one of the minority who enjoyed them....

jar jar on the other hand...
lol

I enjoyed the Ewoks as comic foils. But to fight a battle against the Empire? No way. What should have happened is that a few Ewoks should have been introduced in to the film and they meet the Rebels and then lead the Rebels to their friendly tree-loving neighbors, the Wookiees, who then proceed to kick Imperial arse. Much more believable.

Yep. Looks we will finally get some serious Wookie stuff in the final chapter of the prequels though, and some rumors I've heard recently point out some Trandoshan as well.

It'll be nice to see the roots of their mutual hatred.

Listen I have never seen Natalie Portman in person but I was just defending her when people critieze her. I don't just like her because of her looks I think that girl can act very well. Also she is not the only reason I love Attack of the Clones. In fact she is a very small part. Can't think of a movie that combines kick ass action, effects, and a great story better then Attack of the Clones.

Hmm... I like the X-Men movies, but I'd still prefer AOTC over them, I think. The casting of the X-Men movies was absolutely awesome, though.

X-men was a very good movie. X-men 2 was even better. Attack of the Clones is the best.

POTC. 'Nuff said.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

As far as the "Ewok Battle" goes, I do recall a line in a Timothy Zhan novel (Sorry can't remember which) where... someone (sorry bad momory again) meets a race of very skilled assassins. This person (Luke? Or was it Leia) is considering the potential of enlisting these creatures, and they compare them to the Ewoks... anyhow, long story short, they recall that the only reason the Ewoks succeeded in their battle was through sheer numbers, and not any amount of skill whatsoever. Which is fair enough I guess.

Personally I preffered the first Xmen to the second one :-)

MSD, it's not really off topic. Jimbo challenged us to come up with movies that "combine kick ass action, effects, and a great story better then Attack of the Clones." All we are doing is accepting the challenge.

And I prefer X2 to X-Men.

Others The Matrix, The Terminator, Dragonheart, Spider-Man. That combine action and storytelling in a great way. Still not as good as Attack of the Clones.

I would say that The Terminator (despite being not the same sort of FX -- non CG) and The Matrix are superior to AOTC. But, note that I prefaced that with "I would say" implying that it is my opinion. I don't expect you to share in it and I know that you don't. But hey. I can accept that.

i preferred the first matrix over the others...
too much action and not enough substance in the sequels...

as for X-Men... 2 was definatly better than 1.... just my opinion
