I hate Christmas
I’m probably going to regret this, but why hate you Christmas?

Because it’s stressful, the stores are busy, and it (for the most part) has nothing to do with Christianity or giving, but rather trampling people at a store to buy cheap crap, and then return it on December 26. It also leads to a formal family get together, which I find incredibly stressful. Hate is a strong word, but I don’t practice it, and I do not endorse it.
The Person in Question
Hate is a strong word
But is it offensive?
I’ve never played Mario Party and unspecific god willing, I never will.
“Imma leave a horse’s head in your bed, you zoccola!”
The United States is declared a Christian Nation.
EDIT: If I remember correctly, that is.
“The United States is not a Christian nation any more than it is a Jewish or a Mohameddan nation” -John Adams
“The government of the United States is not in any sense, founded on the Christian religion. The United States of American should have a foundation free from the influence of clergy” - George Washington
“Religion and government will both exist in greater purity the less they are mixed together” -James Madison
“Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shown on man” -Thomas Jefferson
“Lighthouses are more useful than churches” -Benjamin Franklin
It is of important note that “Under God” in the pledge of allegience as well as “in god we trust” on the money were added in the mid 1950’s as propaganda against “godless communism”
The original pledge of allegiance, as written in 1892 goes like this:
“I pledge allegiance to my flag and the republic for which it stands: one nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all”
I hate communism. I hope you’re all offended!

Which was the offensive word in that sentence? I tried to hate hate last night but it just didn’t happen.

SONIC RACES THROUGH THE GREEN FIELDS.
THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.
THE WAYS OF HIS HEART ARE MUCH LIKE THE SUN. SONIC RUNS AND RESTS; THE SUN RISES AND SETS.
DON’T GIVE UP ON THE SUN. DON’T MAKE THE SUN LAUGH AT YOU.
prove that Lincoln said that!
I read it on the internet. Is that proof enough? And I find your lack of faith offensive!

Honestly the word mayonnaise offends me more than any word in this thread.
I find your accusation of lack of faith offensive!
Hehe.
Not sure why I’m feeling compelled to thrown my two cents in, but I agree that the United States never was a formally Christian nation, though culturally the religion has had widespread influence that’s been in relative decline lately. I suppose it’s normal for some of the group to be radicalized, same as any sociological shift away from affluence. I agree with the Madison quote above that the government and religion are at their best when kept apart, and I’ve given up cringing at every misguided thing that my fellows try to do to exert influence on government or legal grounds under the broad umbrella of American Christianity.
It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.
Oh, and… I know someone who can’t stand the word “moist.”
I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.
Nobody wants to be moist…
