Even the topic's author has joined in.  Lol!

But seriously watch Mushi-shi.

Gundam Wing was one of my favorites back years ago.

Trigun is probably in my top 5 anime of all time

Cowboy Bebop is and probably always will be my favorite ever

Wolf's Rain, it's been years, but I loved it a lot when I watched it.

Yu Yu Hakusho was one I enjoyed, but I never watched the whole show, as they stopped airing it. I'd like to watch it all someday.

Blue Gender another one I remember enjoying, but it's been so long and my tastes have changed, so I don't know if I'd still like it.

Case Closed: Detective Conan really loved this show.

Big-O if The Batman Animated Series, Gundam, and Cowboy Bebop had a baby. I think I'd probably enjoy it more as an adult than I did as a teenager, if I were to rewatch it.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Oh and can I just say Inuyasha is a guilty pleasure for me.  I know I know I should hate it because it turns every Anime stereotype and cliche up to eleven, but it does it in such a way that I can't look away.  I know it's a bad show but there is something about the art style and the way stuff is handled that kept me hooked through the whole overly long series.

I feel a deep sense of shame right now.

I must confess that I love Inuyasha as well...  Although as you said it does have bad things about it.  Annoying cliches, over the top voice acting (the japanese dub is overall much  better but Inuyasha and Seshomuru themselve's voices in english are better) and annoying random outbursts from characters.  Also the teenage love thing is kindof annoying at times.  And there's ALOT of filler. But there's just something about the bigness and epicness of it, and the overall story arch is very nice I think.

Which is why I have an on-again off-again personal project of mine that aims to edit down the entire series into a sortof series of fanedit movies.  The show has 167 episodes, over half of which are filler, and even the good episodes have unnecessary moments.  I aim to edit out things nonessential to the story, things that are annoying (Inuyasha in my edit is no longer a pouty stereotype teenage bad boy, just a troubled soul who can be moody sometimes.  but not every five minutes!!!  Shippo doesn't speak much, and Kagome doesn't yell much.  Also none of that damn flea), and stuff like that.  I plan to make it into about 7 films that cut all the fat and annoying things from the essential episodes and piece them together.

Since you like Inuyasha thought I'd post that.

I would love to see that when you are done.  Like you you said there is a lot of filler but the epic feel and action just keeps me coming back to it over and over again.

Fourth for Cowboy Bebop.

Yeah everyone should watch CB at least once.

Oh and I just remembered another great one, Death Note.  I don't know how that one slipped my mind.

I left it out because it gets awfully repetitive at some point.

Well nothing matters anymore, the world will end. So all we can do is wait and watch anime.

I would recommend Sakura Trick.

I plan to share it publicly when I'm done so that can be arranged.  Although it will probably be a while as I'm juggling music projects (which have my foremost attention), this project, and a ROTJ fanedit.  The fanedits are kindof on the backburner right now as I'm more concerned with music, but they'll happen eventually.

167 episodes to 7 movies might not be feasible though.  Maybe I'd be better off just making smaller features of specific plotpoints that cut out filler.  I don't know if that makes any sense or not.  Maybe I'll work on this some today because I'm feeling terrible I have food poisoning but I'm not the type who can sit around watching TV in bed.  But sitting at a computer working on edits is much more practical than breaking out the guitar and playing heavy metal haha.

Yeah well good luck, it will be interesting to see how you handle it.

If you want I can send you some samples of some stuff I've done so far with it.  (I guess it would just show you the editing style and showcase how the story is told in this version) since nobody else is interested here.  (I assume... I made a topic a while back and got no replies.)  I had quite a following for it in an anime related forum a while back, but the forum ended up getting shut down for lack of funds and I haven't any contacts from it so I'm disconnected from all my followers of it.  I should probably make an account at another forum and share it there and possibly even get some of my old followers back... but an account at more than one anime forum?  Seems like a slippery slope...

When the [Iceland] was first settled, it was extensively forested. In the late 12th-century, Ari the Wise, described it in Íslendingabók as "forested from mountain to sea shore". Permanent human settlement greatly disturbed the isolated ecosystem of thin, volcanic soils and limited species diversity. The forests were heavily exploited over the centuries for firewood and timber. Deforestation, climatic deterioration during the Little Ice Age and overgrazing by sheep imported by settlers caused a loss of critical topsoil due to erosion. Today, many farms have been abandoned. Three-quarters of Iceland's hundred thousand square kilometres are affected by soil erosion, eighteen thousand square kilometres so seriously as to be useless. Only a few small birch stands now exist in isolated reserves. The planting of new forests has increased the number of trees, but does not compare to the original forests. Some of the planted forests include introduced species. The tallest tree in Iceland is a sitka spruce planted in 1949 in Kirkjubæjarklaustur; it was measured at 25.2 metres (83 ft) in 2013.

Considering that you call yourself "The Grand Duke of Off Topic",those are words that I didn't expect you would say.

James Nguyen was right. Surely, we'll soon be encountering acid spewing, volatile animated .gif birds.

So, a new book came out and we learned so much, and it is called, “Anguilosaurus, Killer of the Living”.

But nothing matters anyway? We’re all gonna die in a matter of decades regardless (some more decades than others), why does it matter how many generations follow us?
