@boba feta: Excellent job! I'll scan the Empire disc tonight, it's similar but I think it's got Chewbacca instead of the droids.

@Gillean: OK, I'll get on to it.

@Sarpeidon: I didn't capture the French soundtrack because I don't speak French. Yes it would be nice for a future version to have alternative language audio.

OK I found it difficult to locate a reasonable image of Chewbacca with his crossbow, so I had to settle for this one. Also I'm not 100% on that CBS Fox Logo, I've just never seen it before.

I do plan on releasing the French audio. (Eventually, and if no one else does it first.)

I've just got several other things to do first. (Including that last scan for boba feta.)

After finally getting around to joining the forums, I just wanted to thank Moth3r for providing what I consider the best representations of the original trilogy to date. His discs completely justify buying a PAL capable player. I am still amazed by the jump in picture quality facilitated by the PAL transfer, it is undeniable. Bring on the RotJ, I say.

If you guys like Mother's release, you should really check out Citizen's PAL conversion. The audio is better for sure.

Ah yes, the audio.

I may as well come clean and admit I fucked up on the audio - although the uncompressed file was normalized to 0dB peak, it somehow got inserted at -6dB into the AC-3 encoder. Bloody Acid Pro.

Still, at least I know now what not do do for Jedi...

If it bothers you, I would not complain if you were to make an alternate "fixed" soundtrack for those who already have the DVD.

It was simple enough to "add" the mono sountrack you have just released.

Personally, I am happy with the original release as it is.

If you don't mind the pitch-shift you can steal my PCM audio track.
I did no editing to the video, so a quick rip and 4% speed-up should put a fresh coat of PCM paint on your Moth3r set...

If a mono mix and dolby surround mix, totalling 288kbps together, wouldn't fit on the disc then a PCM track at 1536kbps is hardly going to fit! Still, your speeded-up PCM track would make a good source for an AC3 encode, if you can live with the pitch shift.

But the release as it stands can easily be fixed by turning the volume up when watching, so I'm not going to worry about it too much.

I won't do a V2 until I've acheived a significant improvement in overall video and audio quality, and even then if there is an X0 version available then a Moth3r V2 would probably be superfluous.
