which I "IVTCed" (multiplied by 0.8) to arrive at 174,481.
Since then I've had a closer look using VirtualDubMod.
After 'cat'ing all the VOBs into one giant MPG, VirtualDubMod shows 174,495 frames for both Doctor M versions,
and they seem to line up with Moth3r's.
Near the beginning I compared the following frames (remember in VirtualDubMod the first frame is 0):
1065 - the words "STAR WARS" appear
4119 & 4120 - nasty film scratches in the Tantive corridor
At the end, as the medal ceremony wipes to the closing credit "Written and Directed by GEORGE LUCAS"
the W and G appear in frame 169,108.
After the last credits fade to black, I noticed some white specs at 174,358 and 174,445.
Not sure whether those white specs are on the film print or LaserDisc sparkles,
but they line up perfectly between Moth3r's and both Doctor M versions.
Again, all three show 174,495 frames in VirtualDubMod.
Dunno how IfoEdit came up with 218,101 but we wouldn't be using Doctor M's IFO anyway, right ?

If it's 174495 (2:01:17.9) then it'll be a doddle for me to put out a compatible mono file.
Start doddling, please
